I pause my perusal of the blueprints for the heat resort, lodge, horny hostel. Whatever we are going to call it. I pretend to understand what I’m looking at, but it is difficult for me to envision. I need some inspiration and better understanding. I need to see something in front of me, walk through it. Get a vision.
I wonder if there are ways to find out what other packs are doing. I need to discuss alliances with Thane. I don’t know who I can visit and right now, being pregnant and too many enemies lurking, he probably won’t let me go anywhere regardless of whether I have a guard or not.
I hear alpha mumbling downstairs and head down to see who Thane is talking to. I don’t get very far down the stairs before I’m hit the smell of sex and…chicken. Odd, but now I’m hung
“What’s going on here?” I ask absolutely confused, shocked, I don’t know the words. Raven is standing in the living room, wrapped in a blanket and just caked in food. Last I knew, she was having her heat, but this is…well I don’t know what it is.
“My heat broke, now I have gravy in my cracks, and I need a shower.” Raven explains, looking less than amused and very irritated.
“Well, that would be uncomfortable…probably.” I contemplate how she ended up with gravy in her cracks, but then again, they are kind of wild and could work for them…I guess.
“Probably?” She groans, shifting on her feet.
“Well…I mean…maybe you two … ” I clear my throat, not able to finish my sentence.
“Oh, our Luna girl here thinks I was eating actual supper between your legs. Funny, not a bad idea. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. We need a place to clean up and crash a few days until we get a new place p>
“I’m not a hotel and why can’t you shower at your place?” Thane furrows his brows and Cyrus and I’m starting to understand that maybe I’m the only one that gets to see his softer side. I know he doesn’t really
ally care if they stay here, but he also wants to protect his home, mate, and pup in every way. Putting them out would be a bit extreme though.
“Our apartment will need condemned at least. Burned down at most. Just think of it as one big slumber party.” Cyrus claps Thane on the shoulder, but his blanket drops and monster Cyrus is hanging out literally.
“Oh, Cyrus no…..no..” I squeezed my eyes shut, remembering the last time I was forced to look at that monster. I just can’t. Even if I wasn’t mated, he’s like the brother I never had now.
“I’m going to kill you!” Thane growls, tackling Cyrus over the couch. They start fighting each other, but it doesn’t appear to be too serious. More growls and wrestling than actual harming. I’m sure their wolves are being extra protective over their women right now, but it isn’t necessary.
And now the coffee table is broken.
“Come on Raven, get in the shower. Did you bring some clothes?” I gesture for us to head upstairs while the two Alphas beat on each other to get some frustration out.
Thane’s got Cyrus in a headlock and Cyrus has Thane’s leg bent at a weird angle before sinking his teeth into it. Thane cries out, let’s go of Cyrus and then it starts over again. I laugh at myself imagining them doing this as young pups. Only Cyrus could get away with it.
