He looked like hell after being in the dungeon overnight. I guess they didn’t treat him that well.
I stood there watching while Logan got on with what he needed to do. He accused Jack of sexual assault, but he never named me as the victim. He kept my name completely out of it.
“I, Alpha Logan Brent, sentence you to 10 years in prison.” Logan announced. And the whole crowd cheered.
I saw a couple of girls in the crowd that looked more relieved than others. They were actually crying. And it got me wondering if they were previous victims.
It was definitely possible.
The warriors took Jack away and started leading him to town where the jail was when I turned back to the stairs of the packhouse and Penelope walked out of the house and stood next to Logan.
“It’s about time we start to clean up that sort of trash around here.” Penelope said. Getting the crowd cheering again.
I stood there staring at Logan, but he hadn’t noticed that I was here yet. I couldn’t go too close to him now. Not while I didn’t know what the hell was going on.
Was he just waiting for the right time to break up with her?
Maybe he needed to make sure that the deal with her uncle went through before he could get rid of her?
There had to be a reason. I have heard plenty of stories about Logan. And before Penelope, he never spent the night with any woman. He was always a wham, bam, thank you ma’am sort of guy. He would fuck them and then leave. Never stay the night. But he stayed the night with me. And he said that we would see each other today.
But I also didn’t want to be his dirty little secret. A way for him to get off because he was having trouble having sex with Penelope now that he has found his mate.
I then saw Beta Levi walk out of the house and he stood next to Logan with a very serious look on his face. He was looking out at the crowd, but it was like he was looking through everyone.
Suddenly Ace was standing next to me. I didn’t even see where he came from.
“You shouldn’t be here Morgan.” Ace said.
“What are you talking about? What’s going on?” I asked.
“Trust me. You shouldn’t be here.” He said. But I looked back up at Logan.
He was still on the veranda of the packhouse and Penelope had her hands all over him.
“Alright everyone. Settle down. We still need to talk to you.” Penelope said. She looked at Logan with a huge smile on her face. He smiled back, but it wasn’t anywhere near as big.
“We have a great announcement to make. Alpha Logan and I are getting married. I am going to be your Luna.” Penelope practically screeched. 2
It felt like my chest tightened and Bella started clawing and going crazy inside my head.
Luckily Ace was there to catch me, before I fell to the ground.

He had seen me and the look on his face was another one that I had never seen before.
Wide eyes and what actually looked like fear on his face.
“We’re having a party right now and the whole pack is invited.” Penelope announced.
Everyone around me started cheering and celebrating already. But I stared at Logan while he stared back at me.
I pushed Ace away from me and I turned around and took off. Running away from the packhouse as fast as I could and back to the trailer. Where I knew I belonged
