“What’s that?” He asked.
“You have to initiate me into the pack. That way I have absolutely no ties to Logan anymore.” I said. And both of the guys looked at each other and smiled.
“I’ll call the party planner.” Nathan said, running inside. But I looked at Ezra really confused.
“He’ll use any excuse to have a party.” Ezra said.
“Fair enough.” I said.
“So, what else do I need to know here? Where are you parents?” I asked.
“Well, they don’t show their faces too often but they still live on the territory. They have a cabin out the back there in the woods. It’s a decent sized two story cabin. Dad knows that he’s only welcome here on invitation.” Ezra said.
“Oh. Bad blood?” I asked.
“Yeah. You can say that.” Ezra said.
“Is there anything else I need to know about this pack?” I asked.
“I’m sure you’ll learn in no time. The longer you’re here the more you’ll learn.” He said.
“Okay then.” I said.
Ezra’s phone started ringing and he looked at the name displayed on the screen. He put his fingers over his lips for me to be quiet and he put it on speaker phone. “Alpha Logan. How can I help you?” Ezra asked.
“I just thought I should let you know that I am declaring Morgan dead.” Logan said. “You came to that conclusion pretty quickly.” Ezra said.
“Yeah. Because I can’t feel her anymore. I could up until she took off. When she got in that car accident p>
“You would have found her body if she died in a car accident.” Ezra said. Trying to make it sound as neutral as possible. Like I wasn’t sitting right here listening.
“I know. I’m sure that someone took her. I’m not even sure the accident was an accident. I think she was run off the road. But her link to me is completely gone. I know when it happened. I felt it. I know that she’s dead.” Logan said.
“Well, I’m sorry to hear that. From what I could tell, she was a really special woman.” Ezra said.
“Yeah. She was.” Logan said.
“Logan. Who are you talking to? We have to get to the wedding planner.” Penelope screeched in the background.
I just looked away, shaking my head.
“Well Logan, you sound like you’re busy. Wouldn’t want to bother you with a dead mate when you’ve got a demanding princess standing there wanting to get the wedding plans done.” Ezra said.
“It’s not what you think.” Logan said.

“It never is, is it? Hopefully I will never see you again. Bye, Logan.” Ezra said, hanging up.
“He’s still going through with the wedding. Why am I actually surprised by that? Why am I pissed off about that?” I asked.
“Because you’re pregnant with his kid and this isn’t the way it’s meant to go. But now, you don’t have to worry about anything. You will be initiated into our pack and you will be my pack member. You’ll have your baby here. Go to college. And get a kickass job.” He said.
“I hope so.” I said.
Nathan then came running back out the front door really excited.
“Alright. The party is set up for tonight. We’ve got a lot to do. You have to buy a dress and we have to get hair and makeup here. I’ve already got people coming over right now to set up for the event. Everything will be ready for tonight.” Nathan said.
“Is he fucking serious?” I asked, looking at Ezra. But Ezra just started laughing. “Yeah. I’m afraid so. It’s early in the morning. He can get a party going for the same day.” Ezra said.
I then heard someone walking up to the house, so I turned to see the woman that was about the same age as me.
“Morgan. This is Maddy. Maddy, this is Morgan. She’s having her initiation party tonight but she’s more than just another pack member. She’s our friend and we’re making a big deal out of it. All the bells and whistles.” Nathan explained.
“So, she needs a dress and accessories.” Maddy said.
“Exactly.” Nathan said, handing her a credit card. I couldn’t believe that they were doing this all in one day. And how excited Nathan got about me becoming an actual pack member.
He really was a bit strange, but I loved that about him. He was crazy, but in a good
way.
Now I was starting to wonder what the hell I had gotten myself into.
