“It’s obviously got you worried.” He said.
“It’s nothing that I can’t handle.” I insisted.
When we got to school I had to get to my art class and Jax went off to his class.
The teacher looked like a real hippy and was interested in nature above all else. Which didn’t really bother us. We were werewolves, we love nature just as much as anyone else. We love shifting and running through the woods. It’s the only time we ever feel real.
But I can’t do that for a while now.
He wanted us to try and paint something that was in our hearts. Something that we felt passionately about.
I had to think of it for a moment, but I threw caution to the wind. I know I wanted a fresh start here, but that doesn’t mean I can’t lie about this painting when it was finished.
I started painting immediately. With the exact picture in my head coming out on the
canvas.
By the time class was finished that day, I had completed the drawing on the canvas. Of the woods surrounding a broken down trailer in the woods. 1
I knew that there weren’t too many good memories in that trailer. But at least it was better than nothing.
It was my home. And it is still my home. No matter what.
After that I had photography, another business class and then pre-med again.
I had been on campus almost all day and Jax and I got something to eat before we headed home. I made sure to let Ezra know that I wouldn’t be home for dinner.
“So, how are the classes going?” Jax asked.
“Really good. I’m enjoying them.” I said.
“That’s good. A lot of people come here and think that it’s a complete waste of time.” He said.
“Well, I’ve been dreaming of college since I was 12. I couldn’t wait to get here. I’m not going to blow it.” I said.
“What are you going to do with college when the baby comes?” He asked.
“I’m still trying to figure that out.” I said.
“I don’t think the Alpha is going to be want to baby sit every day.” Jàx laughed.
“And I’m not going to ask him to. I would never expect that. I don’t know. I’ll have to hire someone and I know that the Alpha will insist on paying for it so I don’t have to go and get a job.” I said, sarcastically.
“You don’t like that?” Jax asked.
“No. I’ve always been very independent. I don’t like relying on people for anything. Especially not food, clothing or anything for my baby.” I said.
“Well, I think the Alpha has already made up his mind about you. You’re basically the little sister that he lost.” Jax
said.
“What?” I asked, confused. “What do you mean the sister that he lost? Ezra and Nathan had a sister?” I asked.

“Oh crap. I assumed that you knew about that.” He said.
“They’ve never said anything to me about a sister.” I said.
“Alright. It’s not my place to say. Ask them about it.” He said. “Don’t worry. I will.” I said.
When we got back to the packhouse I heard weird noises on the fourth floor. But as
I got closer, I just realized that it wasn’t only Nathan that was entertaining tonight. Ezra also had company.
I just shook my head and went into my bedroom.
As soon as I opened the door and turned on the light, I stopped in my tracks and looked around my whole room.
It was destroyed. Completely ransacked. Even my bedding had been pulled off the
bed and the mattress was only halfway on the bed.
“What the fuck?” I said to myself as I dropped my bag at the doorway.
