MORGAN’S POV
As I got home to the packhouse after my classes that afternoon Ezra and Nathan were sitting in the living room waiting for me.
“Oh crap. Am I in trouble?” I asked.
“Why would you ask that?” Ezra asked.
“Usually when people want to see me I’m being sent to the Principal’s office or to the Alpha for discipline.” I said.
“You’re not in trouble. But we do need to talk.” He said. So I walked into the room and sat on the couch so I was facing both of them.
“I got a report today.” Ezra started off.
“About strange guys hanging around the college?” I asked.
“You know?” He asked.
“I saw them today. And I saw them taking photos of everyone with long blonde hair. I also recognise them from Logan’s pack. They’re scouts.” I said.
“He knows that you’re here.” Nathan said.
“No he doesn’t. That’s why he sent scouts. If he knew for sure, he would be here himself. He wouldn’t have sent people to take photos.” I said.
“Maybe you shouldn’t go to school for a while.” Ezra said.
“Hell no. I’m finally going to college and I am loving it. There’s no way they are going
to scare me off. Besides, I’ve been dodging those assholes for years. I can do it here too.” I said.
“Are you sure about that?” Nathan asked.
“Just trust me. They haven’t been in any of my classes or anything.” I said.
“They are only taking photos of women with long blonde hair.” Ezra said.
“I am not cutting or dying my hair.” I said. 1
“What about a wig?” Nathan asked.
“Not happening.” I said.
“You really are a pain in the ass, aren’t you?” Nathan asked. And I smirked at him.
“I’m just not afraid. I refuse to let that son of a bitch keep dictating my life. Besides, I’m not his pack member anymore. Even if those scouts do find me, they can’t take me away.” I said.
“But Logan can come here.” Ezra said. 1
“So?” I asked.
“What about the baby?” He asked.
“I can say that it belongs to someone else. He doesn’t need to know what I’ve been doing since I’ve been here.

“But your scent is different. Logan will definitely notice that.” He said.
“Like I said, I will tell him that the kid belongs to someone else.” I said.
“Alright. Who are you going to blame it on? I mean, you’re using my last name at college.” Ezra said.
“I know. But that’s easily explained. I used your name so he couldn’t find me. Listen guys, I love that you are trying to protect me like this. But it’s not necessary. It really isn’t.” I said.
“I hope not.” Ezra said.
“I have homework to do. I’ll talk to you later.” I said, grabbing my bag and heading upstairs.
I’m not going to lie to myself. I was worried that the scouts were here and I was scared that they were going to see me. I was going to do everything in my power to make sure that they didn’t see me.
But I’m not going to freak Ezra and Nathan out. Not after they have done so much for me.
If anything does come of this, I will deal with it. No matter how much it scares me.
It was my time to protect them. And I was going to protect them with everything I had.
As soon as I got to my room I had a shower and I got dressed in my pajamas and I sat at the desk to do my homework.
As soon as I sat down, I started getting this weird feeling that someone was watching me.
