Ezra and Nathan both stood at the doorway to the office staring at me on the bottom

of the stairs. They were trying to figure out what to say to me. But they couldn’t seem to find anything.

“I have homework to do.” I said, turning and walking up the stairs. Hoping they wouldn’t follow me.

I went into my room and closed the door and I sat at the desk.

I knew that I had homework to do, but what the actual fuck?

Did I just hear them properly? Is Ezra saying that we’re second chance mates? I didn’t think they actually existed. 2

It’s rare for werewolves to even reject their mates, let alone those rejected mates finding other mates to spend their lives with.

I sat by the window with my coffee and a smoke, staring out at the sun going down behind the forest, lighting up the sky in all different really beautiful colors. 4

“Alright Morgan. Concentrate on one thing at a time. First, school. Second, baby. And that’s it. We’re not looking for another mate. We need to concentrate on what’s right in front of us and that’s all.” I said to myself. Trying to get myself to focus and not freak out about what I just heard. 1

But I did have to admit, my first mate was an Alpha and now my second chance mate is an Alpha. Is the Moon Goddess trying to tell me something?

When I finally managed to calm my mind down, I sat at the desk and started doing the pile of homework that was right in front of me.

The pre-med classes were actually a lot easier than I thought they would be. I was never really good at science or anything but for some reason, these classes just came really easy to me. Easy to understand.

I had been working for a couple of hours when someone knocked on the door.

“Come in.” I sang out.

I turned when the door opened and Ezra was standing there with a plate of food.

“You missed dinner.” He said. And I looked at the time.

“Shit. I didn’t even realize what time it was. I got stuck into this and I lost track of time.” I said.

So he walked in and I made some space on the desk for him to put the food down on and a can of soda.

“How’s school going?” He asked.

“Really well actually. I’m enjoying all of my classes.” I said.

“Yeah. I heard that you’re doing really well in creative writing. Is that something that you want to do?” He asked.

“I think it might be. Creative writing and I’m also in English lit. So, I might actually pursue something along those lines.” I said.

“It’s not a bad way to make a living.” He said.

I noticed that he was just standing by my desk trying to make small talk, and he was looking really awkward. Which I hated. We were friends and I don’t want anything to be awkward between us.

“Listen, I have school and a baby on the way. How about we just forget about what I heard earlier and we just go on the way that we are. You’re a really good friend Ezra, I don’t want to lose that.” I said. 4

“Neither do I. I just want you to know that it makes sense to me now why I felt the need to protect you the way that I did. I think I felt these feelings while you were still mated to Logan. When I met you at that Alpha Ball.” He said.

“Yeah. I was thinking that as well. But we don’t need to worry about that right now. Can we please just get back to the way we were?” I asked.

“I can’t help the way that I feel.” He said. 2

“I know that you can’t. But you said it yourself. You’re not sure if these feelings are even real. It could be the pregnancy and the hormones for all we know.” I said.

“I know that. I don’t know how to feel and it’s twisting me all up inside.” He said.

“I’m sorry for that. But can we please just not deal with this right now. Honestly, I don’t know if I can.” I said.

“Sure.” He said.

“Thank you.” I said. 1

“Eat up alright. You’re eating for two werewolves now.” He said.

“Yeah. I can see that.” I said, looking at how much food was on the plate.

He chuckled and turned to leave the room.

So I stayed there and ate while I worked.

When I started getting really tired, I went to have a shower and I got ready for bed.

I packed up all my books and I grabbed the pate and the meg from my coffee and

the empty soda can and I took them down to the kitchen.

When I got back to my room I jumped into bed and I started reading a little more into Logan’s pack.

It was starting to get really interesting.

I was just about to put it down and I noticed something really interesting.

TREATY RULES 1850

The Nash coven will assist the Moon Stone pack whenever they are in need of assistance

This treaty is binding and cannot be broken by future Alpha’s or pack members of the Moon Stone pack, or any member of the Nash coven. If it is, it will result in war. Terry Jameson Sergio Nash

Moon Stone Pack Nash Coven

As soon as I saw that, I got up and I scanned that page onto my computer and I cropped it so that nothing else was showing except the treaty. Nothing else on the page was showing.

Logan wanted to see if the treaty was real. Well, here it was. In plain sight.

I uploaded it anonymously to the dark web, knowing that someone from Moon Stone Pack would see it and have to show Logan.

That was the best I could do from here.

And I was hoping that it was enough so he would know about the treaty, but not enough that he wouldn’t know that it came from the book that I had.

I know that it’s a long shot, him thinking that I died in that car, but this information would have to be in other locations as well. The Nash Coven of vampires would have to know all about it as well. They would have to have a

copy.

So once I finished doing that I grabbed my cell phone and I dialed a number.

“Hello.” The man answered.

“We need to meet.” I insisted.
