Chapter 96
As soon as I reached the treeline, I shifted into my wolf and I picked up my pace to catch up to Ezra. He was also in wolf form, chasing after Logan.
We had passed the border and we could hear a lot of screaming up ahead.
He was already at the human town and he was raising havoc, obviously.
We are obviously a lot bigger than normal wolves and seeing one of us would have been absolutely terrifying for humans.
Ezra and I stayed side by side. One pure black wolf and one pure white wolf, running through the woods until there were no more woods left.
“We’re going to be seen.” Ezra said.
“So? It’s better than letting him kill an innocent.” I yelled through the link, so we kept running until we reached the town and we saw people running everywhere.
Once they saw Ezra and I running into the town, they started panicking even more. Probably thinking that we were there to help Logan, but it didn’t take long for us to find Logan.
He was in the middle of town and there were people hiding in stores, hiding in their cars and running down the road to escape him. But he still had a lot of people out in the open that he could attack.
At the moment it looked like he was just trying to scare everyone.
Ezra stopped when he saw Logan’s wolf, but I didn’t hesitate for a second.
As soon as I saw him, I charged at him and I lunged at him. Tackling him to the ground and we both rolled on the ground, until we came to a stop and I got to my feet and I faced him, growling and baring my teeth.
He faced me as well, baring his teeth and ready to attack. But that’s when Ezra walked up behind him growling. Warning him not to touch me.
I was vaguely aware of people in the shops and cars watching us, but I was wanting the people to get off of the
street.
Some stopped to watch the show, and they were the ones that were irritating me.
“I can take him out right now, if you want me to.” Ezra said.
“Don’t kill him. Not yet.” I said.
“Why?” He asked.
“We need to get him out of here first. We can’t leave him here.” I said.
“I don’t understand.” Ezra snapped.
“We won’t be able to take his body with us. And I am not leaving him here for the army to take him. They will know everything about us if they get their hands on his body.” I said.
“Alright. So, we force him out of town. How?” Ezra asked.
“Attack him until he runs back to the pack.” I said.

Chapter 90

So Ezra lunged at him from behind and knocked him to the ground and then I went for him while he was on the ground.
He pushed Ezra off of him but I went for his neck, but I only took a little chunk out. Obviously wanting to hurt him but not kill him.
He got back to his feet and he started backing away but he was still baring his teeth aggressively. He just wanted some distance between us so he could have a good go at us.
But what he doesn’t realize is that while I’ve been living with Ezra, I’ve been going through rigorous training, under the guidance of Ezra. I can fight like an Alpha and that was something that he needed to be aware of.
He lunged at me and I was ready to defend when Ezra lunged at him from the side and they both fell to the ground.
I ran over and I clawed at Logan while he was on the ground trying to fight off Ezra. Ezra was just holding him down so I could get a couple of good swipes in.
Logan managed to kick Ezra away and he got up to look at me, but I didn’t stop.
I swung my paw at him again, causing my claws to cut open his chest. Not deadly, but enough to hurt.
He was bleeding all over from Ezra and myself and he didn’t look like he was going to back down.
Was he really that arrogant that he thought he was going to win this fight? What the fuck was wrong with this man?
I took a step closer to him and let out a loud growl, warning him and he took a step back.
He looked between myself and Ezra, who had walked up beside me and he finally realized that we weren’t going to let him do what he wanted to do.
He let out a howl and a growl before he ran down the middle of town and he disappeared into the woods.
Ezra ran after him to make sure that he went back to the pack and I turned to look at the damage done to the town.
Luckily it was just structural and no human loss.
I saw the onlookers of what just happened and a lot of them had their phones out, taking video of what they just witnessed. Which meant it was going to be on the news tonight.
I had to prepare the pack for that. I had to prepare the werewolf community for that. But then I turned around and I started walking away from town when I heard people start to come out of the buildings that they were hiding in.
“Morgan.” Someone behind me said. So I stopped, almost frozen in my spot. Before I finally turned around and one of the human women was standing in front of all the others and she was looking straight at me.
“You are Morgan, aren’t you?” She asked. So I turned to look at her fully. Completely confused as to how she knew who the hell I was.
“They know the wolf pack is through the woods.” Someone else said, coming out of the crowd. And it was Cory’s mate Bonnie. A werewolf who rejected Ezra. “They’ve known about the wolf pack for a long time. Cory and I have been telling them that you were going to come and save them from Logan.” Bonnie said. And I growled at her for
that.

“I know that you’re pissed off with me. And I’m sorry. But please, these people are depending on you.” She said.
I looked around at all the desperate faces in the crowd, people needing help
because they knew that Logan was going to kill them all.
I huffed before I turned around and ran off towards the woods and back to the pack.
