Chapter 99
“Yeah. But you don’t have to worry. He had a mark on his neck. He’s found his mate since the last time I saw him.” I said.
“Yeah. I noticed that.” He said.
We stopped in a diner to get some breakfast and we sat there talking for a while.
People were still staring at me. I know that they all knew who I was because Logan had ordered such a huge search for me when I ran away. And they obviously looked confused as to why I was back, why I was dressed a lot nicer than usual and why I was with an Alpha.
I just ignored them mostly but Ezra was a little unnerved about it. So I told him just to ignore it. I’ve gotten really good at ignoring everyone in this pack. Because they have always treated me like this.
As soon as we ate breakfast we headed back to the packhouse and we got there just in time.
Only about half an hour later Paisley showed up with the kids.
Aiden came running to me on the veranda and Paisley handed Savannah to Ezra.
Paisley had gotten a larger car because she had to bring all of the kids things. Strollers, car seats, portable cots, everything. There was a lot to pack when you had kids.
We took them inside and I saw Logan in the living room staring at us, but I took them straight up the stairs.
The nurse was finished with mom so I went inside alone at first.
“Mom. I need to talk to you about something.” I said.
“What is it honey?” She asked.
“Well, I hadn’t told you yet because I didn’t want to bring them here. But then I
thought that you might want to meet your grandchildren.” I said.
“What?” She asked, shocked. So Ezra walked in with the two kids.
“This is Aiden and this is baby Savannah.” I said.
“Oh my goddess. They are so adorable.” Mom said. But I felt Aiden grip my hand a little tighter. I know that the look of mom probably would have scared him.
He just needed time to get used to it, I guess.
“It’s alright, Aiden. This is your nanna.” I said.
“My nanna?” He asked.
“Yeah. This is my mommy.” I said, sitting on the chair next to her bed. So Aiden sat on my lap.
“So, you used to live with mommy?” Aiden asked.
“I sure did. Mommy and I are very close.” Mom said.
“Why haven’t I met you before?” He asked.
“Because I couldn’t leave this pack. And mommy couldn’t come back here.” Mom said.

“Why?” Aiden asked, looking at me.
“It’s complicated, sweetie. But I’ll explain it to you one day. When you’re a little older,
you can understand it a little better.” I said. So he nodded his head.
“Savannah looks just like you. I hope she has your attitude.” Mom said. And Ezra started laughing
“She’s already showing signs.” He said. And mom smiled.
“I don’t think I was that bad.” I said.
“Oh, you were.” Mom said. And I saw her staring at Aiden and then she looked at Ezra.
“Please. Don’t ask.” I said.
“Logan might figure it out.” Mom whispered.
“I’m not going to let that happen.” I said.
“I’m on his birth certificate as his father. I was always ready to take him on as my own.” Ezra whispered.
“You really do have a good one there.” Mom said. And I looked up at Ezra.
“You don’t need to tell me that.” I said.
We took the kids down to the dining room to get some lunch and when I walked into
the kitchen Logan grabbed me by the arm and stopped me from walking.
“How old is that kid?” He demanded.
