Chapter 111
Ezra looked more than pissed that George was in the packhouse and we made our way to the living room and Ryan left because he didn’t want Ezra to know who he was. But he was going to find out eventually. I told Paisley to go with him and we’d spend some time with the kids. But I’d need her back here pretty soon.
“So, why do you hate George so much? I’ve only heard about him. I’ve never actually met him before.” I said.
“He will be the first one to stab you in the back if he gets a chance. He has done it to a lot of people and that’s what has given him the power that he has over the werewolf world. I never got close enough for him to do it to me and that’s why he hates me. He wanted an alliance with my pack a while back but I wouldn’t have anything to do with him.” He said.
“Alright. So, keep a close eye on that bastard.” I said.
“Yeah. Anyway, I just called Koda and he’s going to see how many warriors he can
round up. He’s only going to ask for volunteers for now.” Ezra said.
“Good. We don’t want to force them into a life or death situation unless it’s necessary.” I said.
“Exactly. Because this isn’t even our fight yet. Well, sort of. I guess these creatures are after you so that sort of makes it our fight.” Ezra said.
“If we went back home right now, those creatures wouldn’t even know and they would keep attacking this pack.” I said.
“They would find you eventually.” He said.
“Well, we need to come up with a plan. Logan captured one of them already. We need to know where they caught it.” I said.
“We can’t go back to the same place. They will know it’s a trap.” He said.
“I know. I think we should go to the same area. Just not the exact same location. We’ll make it look like I’m out hunting or something like that. We’ll have warriors go out there earlier in the day when the sun is out so they can get their positions right and the creatures won’t know that they are there.” I explained.
“You’ve thought about this.” He said.
“Yeah. A little.” I said.
“Are you going to talk to that thing downstairs?” He asked,
“Not yet. I want to capture the other creatures first. I want them to see what is in store for them.” I said.
“You want to experiment and torture in front of the other creatures. That might work.” He said.
“It’s always been a good torture technique.” I said.
“You’ve never tortured anyone.” He saaid.
“Doesn’t mean I haven’t read about it.” I said.
A while later the office door opened and we saw George walking to the front door
and he stopped to look at us in the living room first before he left the packhouse and Logan and Penelope stayed in the foyer area.
“We have exciting news.” Penelope said.

“And what might that be?” I asked.
“I’m pregnant.” She said.
“Oh yeah? Who’s the father?” I asked. And her face went from being in a smile to being twisted in anger.
“How dare you imply…” She started to say.
“You know that it’s going to become obvious that the kid doesn’t belong to Logan pretty early. He won’t show the signs of having Alpha blood in him. But I’m sure you already thought about that.” I said. And she looked at Logan like she was expecting him to defend her.
“Your fucking uncle isn’t here now. I’m not saying shit. I know you’ve been screwing half the guys in the pack.” Logan said, walking off.
Her face went bright red in anger and she screamed as she stormed upstairs and slammed one of the doors.
“Wow. She really hates you.” Ezra said.
“Beleive me, the feeling is mutual.” I said.
“She’s the Luna of this pack. You might want to be careful.” He said.
“I don’t give a shit about that. And guess what, I don’t think she’s taken too seriously
as the Luna by her own pack. “I said.
“Yeah. She doesn’t seem to really be too invested in it.” Ezra said.
I looked out the front window and I saw Logan walking around out the front. But I went back to playing with the kids.
When Paisley finally got back to the packhouse she started taking care of the kids and Ezra and I went to the conference room with Logan.
Logan pointed out on a map where they were able to capture the creature and how they did it. Using that child as bait, but he made sure that he wasn’t sitting next to me when he explained that part.
“When are our warriors going to be here?” I asked.
“This afternoon.” Ezra said.
“Alright. So, we should set this up for tomorrow night.” I said.
“Do you really think this is a good idea?” Logan asked.
“Why not? You caught one. Now it’s our turn.” I said.
“And what if you fail?” He asked.
“Are you actually worried that something is going to happen to me? I thought you’d
be happy.” I said.
“Why would you think that?” He asked.
“Because then your problems are over.” I said.
When the meeting was over I went to the kitchen and I made a coffee and I sat
outside looking out at the woods.
I felt someone come to the back door and I knew that it wasn’t Ezra.

“What do you want Logan?” I asked.
“You do know that my pack is never going to accept Penelope’s kid as their next
Alpha. He’s not even going to have the power of an Alpha.” Logan said.
“I know.” I said.
“It’s too bad I don’t actually have an heir.” He said.
I just sat there for moment before I said anything. I knew what he was getting at. He
was still trying to do the math with Aiden.
“Yeah. It’s a shame that you don’t.” I said.
“Is everything alright out here?” Ezra asked, behind Logan.
“Yeah. It’s all good.” I said. So Logan went inside and Ezra walked out to where I
was.
“What was that about?” Ezra asked.
“He suspects about Aiden. He’s trying to get me to confess.” I said.
“Are you going to?” Ezra asked. And I hesitated for a moment.
“No. He’s already got a father. And you’re the best father that he could have.” I said.
And he leaned down to kiss

“Hopefully we’ll be out of here soon and we can get back home.” Ezra said.
“Yeah. Hopefully.” I said.
