The army was still planning their attack on Logan’s pack, but Morgan was sure to let them know with plenty of proof that it wasn’t the werewolves that were killing humans. It was these creatures that we were about to go up against.
Morgan and I had to let everyone know that we were ready to go, so there was a sudden burst of bones breaking and rearranging as we all started shifting and we took off into the forest.
Morgan and I were in the lead with Logan running on the other side of Morgan. We had to protect her at all costs because she was the only one that could stop this massacre and stop that master from killing anymore people.
We ran for three straight hours until we got to the area that Logan told us he caught the other creature.
Morgan ducked behind a tree and shifted back and put on some clothes and walked out in front of everyone who were still wolves.
We all hung back while she went the rest of the way on her own.
She walked for another 10 minutes through the forest until she came to a rocky clearing and started climbing up the large boulders, looking around everywhere.
Suddenly one of those creatures landed right in front of her and cocked his head as he stared straight at Morgan.
“What do we have here?” He asked.
“You want me. You got me. Now leave the humans alone.” Morgan demanded.
“That’s not my call. That’s for the master to decide.” He said, taking a step closer to her.
“Fine. Have it your way.” Morgan said, lunging at the creature and sinking her teeth into it’s neck.
She jumped backwards off the boulder as that creature started screaming and it dropped to the ground, writhing in pain.
Suddenly we heard the wings flapping of dozens of creatures and they were all flooding the sky, converging on this rocky clearing.
I looked around at all of them and I wasn’t even going to bother counting. There were dozens of them.
And as soon as they landed on the ground, Morgan was surrounded. They were all facing towards her and she was circling around to look at them all. They were prepared for her in case she tried something like this. And that’s what she was counting on.
“NOW!” Morgan screamed.
And all the warriors that we sent ahead of time jumped down from the trees that they were camped out in holding large viles of Morgan’s synthetic blood that they pegged at these creatures that were surrounding Morgan. Causing most of them to fall to the ground in pain.
That’s when it was our turn. Her blood didn’t kill them. It only weakened them. So we ran to the clearing and started attacking the ones that were on the ground, wripping them apart and hoping that would do the trick at killing them. We didn’t know any other way to kill them ourselves.
But surely they wouldn’t survive after being torn to pieces. But suddenly one jumped up and tackled Logan to the ground and they tumbled down the small hill while fighting.
I couldn’t go after them. I had creatures in front of me that were starting to get up again, but I saw Morgan run to

the bottom of the hill to help Logan.
“Nathan. Behind you.” I yelled through the mind link. So Nathan jumped around and attacked the creature that had just got to its feet and ripped its head clean off its body.
When all the creatures here were killed, or at least seemed like they were, I turned around and ran down the hill where Morgan had run.
The creature that attacked Logan was dead, but so was Logan. He was laying there motionless in his human state. But there was no Morgan.
Suddenly one of the other warriors walked down next to me as a human and I saw that it was one of Logan’s men.
“We felt the power shift.” He said.
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“Morgan killed Logan. She’s our new Alpha.” He said.
“Morgan would not have killed him in cold blood.” I insisted.
“She didn’t. He linked us in. He was already dying from what that bastard did to him.
He told Morgan to finish him off so the pack would be tranferred to her. She’d have control of the pack.” He said.
“He gave her the pack.” I said.
“Yeah.” The warrior said.
I started looking around frantically, trying to find her. I assumed that she was just standing back somewhere because she was so devistated that she had to kill Logan herself. But I soon realized that she wasn’t here at all.
“MORGAN!” I screamed. But she was nowhere.
They got her. They actually managed to take her away.
