Chapter 130
It’s been two weeks since Savannah went missing and I was sitting in the bedroom,
on the edge of the bed staring out the window when Ezra walked in.
“When did you get back?” I asked, not even looking at him.
“Just now. I wanted to ccome and check on you.” He said.
“Did you find anything?” I asked.
“No. It was another dead end.” He said.
I had the worst images going through my head. Someone took our baby girl because she was easier to take then Aiden and who knows what they’ve already done to her. Was she cold? Was she hungry? I couldn’t know anything.
She was gone and I had to know if there was anything I could do to comfort her. “Have you eaten today?” Ezra asked.
“I have work to do. I don’t have time.” I said, standing up and I walked past him and headed downstairs to the office.
“You still need to eat.” He said, following me.
I sat behind the desk of the office and looked at the massive amount of paperwork that was piling up on my desk.
“I have all this work to do. I’ll eat later.” I said.
“Aiden asked me if you were alright and if you still loved him? I told him that you did, you were just very upset about Savannah.” Ezra said.
“I’ll have a talk with him later.” I said.
“He’s feeling this just as much as you are. He loves Savannah. You know that.” Ezra said.
“Well, that doesn’t change the fact that she’s fucking gone. Someone snuck into our fucking house and took her. What for? Is she dead? She’s not a hostage because we haven’t receieved so much as a fucking phone call for ransome. So, why would someone take a 7 month old baby?” I asked.
“To destroy us. And they are doing a damn good job of it so far.” He said.
But I ignored him and I put my head down and started going through the paperwork.
Ezra walked over to me and spun my chair around so I was facing him and he knelt down right in front of me.
“Morgan. We are going to find her. I still have scouts out there, And it’s not just from this pack. It’s from both packs. We’ve got people scouring everywhere and using every available resource we have to find her.” Ezra said.
I looked away from him for a second and when I looked back he could see the tears in my eyes.
“I have a really bad feeling, Ezra.” I said.
“What do you mean?” He asked.
“I don’t think we’re going to find her. I don’t think we’re going to see her again.” I said, wiping a stray tear off my cheek. But he pulled me closer to him, into a hug and started rubbing my back.
“We are doing everything we can. They can’t hide forever. Not from us. We’re not going to stop until we find her.”

He assured me.
“Alpha Ezra.” Someone said, busting into the office.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Ezra yelled at him.

“I’m sorry. But we’ve got a new lead.” He said. So Ezra looked at me and I nodded for him to go.
He kissed me and he left with the warrior to go in search of our daughter. I didn’t need to know the details. If they had a lead, I just wanted them to follow it. I told them to do whatever they had to do to bring my baby girl home.
But as the days drew on, I was loosing hope.
I didn’t stay in the office. I decided to get up and I left the packhouse and I walked across the territory until I got to the cemetary.
I walked past all the gravestones until I came to a larger one towards the back of the cemetary and that’s where my mother was laid to rest. I made sure that she had a large headstone. I believed that she deserved it. And she was the mother of the now Alpha. But behind her, in another caged off section, is where Logan’s grave was. He had a larger headstone because he was the Alpha. That’s where the Alpha family laid to rest. In the caged off area.
But I sat in front of my mother’s headstone and I looked up at it trying to figure out what to say.
“I really don’t know what to do anymore mom. I can’t keep a straight thought in my head. Savannah is out there somewhere and I don’t know if she’s alive or dead. Well, I’m pretty sure she’s alive. If she was dead then I would feel it through the pack bond. But who has her? What are they doing to her? I want to go out there and look, I want to be by Ezra’s side when he finds her, but I am really afraid of what is going to happen if I am there. I mean, everyone thinks that Ezra is the one that they need to be careful of. They definitely don’t know what I’m going to be like when I come face to face with the people that stole her from me. I will show no mercy and I will make their death’s last for days. If not, longer. I will torture them until they are begging for death. And that’s what scares me. I’ve never thought these thoughts before. I don’t know what to do mom. Should I be out there looking or should I be here with Aiden and just hope that they find her on their own?” I asked. I sat there clearing away a bit of the overgrowth around her headstone when I heard someone walking up behind me.
I turned around and I saw Ryan there. One of the main bullies while I was going to school. One of the main reasons I left this pack in the first place. He was the last person I wanted to see. Even though he was mated to Paisley.
“What the hell do you want?” I asked.
“I just wanted you to know that we’re all going to do whatever we can to help you find your little girl.” He said.
“Since when do you care what happens to me?” I asked.
“We’re not all the same people as we were in high school. A lot of us have grown up. Some haven’t, but a lot of us have. I don’t even know why we bullied you. I guess you were just an easy target and we were assholes. I don’t actually hate you.” He said.
“Well, I wish I could say the same.” I said.
“I don’t blame you. But I just wanted you to know that we are all sticking behind you. No matter what happens. The second Alpha Ezra needs us, we’ll be there.” He said.
“Thank you.” I said.
So he turned around and walked away and I kept picking at the overgrowth around the headstone. I didn’t know how long I was there, but when I started to notice the
sun go down, I decided that it was time to go back to the packhouse.
