Chapter 136
I was taken inside the packhouse and I could tell that Ezra was especially worried about me, but I was adamant and frantic. I knew that we had to get out there and look for her. Savannah was still alive and she was right there. She was right in front of me. But he insisted on getting my wounds taken care of and Avery rushed in with her medical bag.
She started trying to get the silver bullet out of my arm, but even with the silver bullet I didn’t care. I had to go and look for her.
“How can you be sure that it was even her?” Ezra asked.
“I know my daughter when I see her. It was her.” I said.
“Did she recognise you?” He asked.
“She fucking shot me. She was 6 months old when she was taken.” I said.
“Alright. Of course she wouldn’t recognise you. But you can’t be sure that it was Savannah.” He said.
“She looked just like me. Her hair, her eyes. Everything. She was me when I was her age.” I said.
“Why would they take her from us and keep her alive?” He asked.
“We’ve never felt the bond break. You know that. You know that she’s been alive all this time. Don’t act like you don’t.” I insisted.
Aiden then came running into the room and he was out of breathe and wearing ratty old shorts.
“I chased the ones that I could but they were good.” Aiden said.
“They were hunters.” Ezra said. And I looked at Avery and then at Ezra with a desperate look on my face.
I knew that I wasn’t the only one thinking it.
They were hunters. Hunters kidnapped my daughter and are now using her to kill
us.
They know that’s the only thing that would distract me.
They are using my own daughter against me to take me down. How the hell could they do something like that?
I know hunters are relentless in their pursuits of wiping out other species, but why would they kidnap a werewolf just to kill other werewolves. And what are they going to do with her when they’re done?
She’s in danger with them. If she slips up in the slightest then they’ll kill her and they won’t have any problem doing that.
She’s their enemy. Even if she doesn’t realize it.
If she’s been raised around humans, then her wolf wouldn’ have come out. She wouldn’t even know that she was a wolf.
How am I going to find her and get her to understand all of his? I mean, I would need to spend a lot of time with her so her wolf will come out. But she just shot me so I don think that’s going to happen.
Ezra could see that I was starting to spiral and he ordered Avery to give me something for it.
I tried to fight against it but Ezra and Nathan held me down while she gave me a sedative.
It didn’t take long for the affects to kick in and everything was starting to go blurry before I finally passed out.

I woke up the following morning in my bed and Ezra wasn’t there. My head was pounding and it had to be from that damn sedative that they gave me to go to sleep.
I got up and saw that he had changed me during the night and got me out of those clothes that I was wearing at the party. So I put my dressing gown over my pajama’s and I walked out of the bedroom and downstairs.
I could hear people talking in the living room as I was making my way downstairs. There were a lot of people in there and they were yelling. I stood on the staircase listening to them before I made a move.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Ezra yelled.
“I checked the footage from the pack last night dad. I don’t think mom was imagining anything. Look at these photos that I printed out. Just before she shot mom. Look at her face. Look at the hair, the eyes, look at the mouth. That’s your mouth.” Aiden yelled, thrusting the photos in front of Ezra.
“So, you’re saying that the hunters really do have Savannah?” Ezra asked.
“I think it’s worth looking into. Mom believed it so much that a silver bullet barely even slowed her down. She’s never done that before. In 16 years mom has never accused anyone of being Savannah. She’s sure of it.” Aiden said.
“Alright. Gather some men and look into it. We have to rule her out otherwise you’re mother is never going to let this go.” Ezra said. So they started coming out of the living room and they saw me standing on the staircase.
They all stopped and Ezra looked at me with sorrow on his face.
I just shook my head and turned around and walked back upstairs.
He thinks I’m never going to let this go? Of course not. Not if that’s my daughter. Not
if that’s my little baby that was taken from me so long ago.
Savannah needs me. Even if she doesn’t know it. And I am going to make sure that we do everything to get her back.
I went to my room and slammed the door and I grabbed the laptop and sat on the bed.
I got onto the dark web and started scanning around for any chatter about the hunters. Who they had been attacking lately and who they have killed. I wanted to know what witnesses had seen and specifically asked them about a teenage girl working with the hunters.
Unfortunately, none of them could answer me about the teenage girl. No one ever saw a teenage girl.
That got me thinking. Did they only let her out when they close to attack us? Was that a plan just to get to us and get what they needed?
She was headed for the packhouse, but I stopped her. She never made it inside the house so what was she after. She was obviously given that special mission. I needed to know why.
