Chapter 167

“You bet he does. You all have to beat her record now.” Justin said.

But Eric was laying on the ground, looking like he was about to die. It was pretty funny to see actually.

He was beaten by a girl and he is always going around talking about how tough he is. He’s not as tough as he thinks he is.

“Suck shit Eric.” Lilly yelled from the ground.

“Fuck you.” He said with barely any effort in it.

“Alright. You two go for it now and let these two rest.” Justin said.

So Jesse and I did the obstacle course which we turned into a competition but we still didn’t make the 12 minutes.

Lilly really was something else.

When we were finally finished for the day, we went to get some dinner and I saw that Lilly always sits in the same chair. Right at the end of the table, not talking to anyone else at the table. But I sat at the end of the table that faced her and we started eating dinner.

“So, how come those girls are always giving you a dirty look?” I asked. But she just shrugged her shoulders.

“I don’t know. I only got here the day before you. So I’m still an outsider. And I think you giving me attention and not them is pissing them off.” She said honestly.

“Well, they can suck it up. I don’t want to talk to them. They look like assholes anyway.” I said. And she scoffed.

“I’m starting to think that they are.” She said.

We ate dinner pretty quickly and then headed back to the bunk house where we showered, and I made sure that I kept my back to Lilly the whole time.

I didn’t want her to get the wrong idea about me.

They are communal showers and they don’t have shower curtains. They were just stalls, but since I kept my back to her, I wasn’t sure what she was looking at.

It made me smile actually. Because I really don’t care if she’s checking me out.

After we were dressed we sat on our beds that were next to each other just as the others were coming to the bunk house.

We were just talking for a bit while the others started getting ready for bed.

It got so much louder with all of

them

in here now and it was I

us to have an actual conveharet

But

that didn’t matter for long

Captain Stevens came into the bunk house and saw everyone sitting on their beds.

We all stood up as soon as we saw him and he walked further into the room with Justin right behind him.

“We have a mission.” He announced,

looking around at all of us. Almost like he was choosing who he was going to send on this mission. “L need several soldiers to go to a wolf pack. It’s several hours from here. You will be going by helicopter and you will be clearing out the whole place. You know what that means, you will put down any wolf that you

see.” Stevens announced.

I looked over at Eric and Jesse and they were both standing at attention like we

were all supposed to be doing.

“I was just talking it over with Justin and he has told me who he believes should go on this mission. So, when I saw your name, get dressed and meet Justin at the helicopter pad in half an hour. Patrick, Alex, Derek, Izzy Ben and Lilly.” Stevens announced. So Hooked at Lilly she looked really excited, but I wasn’t sure about this.

“Are there any questions?” Stevens asked.

“Can I ask you what pack we’re attacking?” I asked.

“Freedom Runners pack.” Stevens said. And I nodded my head.

“Alright. You’ve got half an hour. I’ll meet you out there.” Justin said, leaving the bunk house.

So we all got dressed and I sat on the other side of my bunk, facing towards Jesse.

“You know what to do.” I whispered.

“Don’t worry. I’ve got it covered.” He whispered back.
