MAVERICK’S POV
I was groaning inwardly. I have been doing that for thirty minutes since the meeting commenced.
I had promised Valencia this one day off from all responsibilities, but who would’ve thought that Alpha Green would appear in our hotel room when he found out we were in the city?
Not wanting to dampen her mood and ruin this day off, I asked Shadow, Liam, and Sean to stay with her as she enjoyed her night at the local club.
“We were having such a peaceful and loving day with our maye. Must we work all the time?’ Reaper said, and I understood his annoyance with the matter.
It was a treat for us to spend one day and night without worry with our woman, the love of our lives. In fact, after Valencia told us she was ready to bear our mark on her neck, imprint us for life, and make us hers, I was thinking of completing the process later.
However, who would’ve thought I would have to postpone plans like this?
Not only did I have to leave her unsatisfied by our third round, but I also had to keep it all in because I didn’t want to disrespect Elder Green, my father’s good friend.
I sighed, a little distracted, worrying that my woman didn’t particularly hate me even though I knew Valencia wasn’t the kind of a girl who would throw a tantrum over such matters.
And though she doesn’t throw a tantrum, sometimes I feel I want her to do that, and it might just be because I have seen other Lunas throwing tantrums over petty things and how their alpha Mayes coax them. I want to enjoy that feeling and spoil my baby moonshine because she is my world and deserves everything.
“Excuse me,” I said to the alpha when I saw my phone vibrating.
“Sure,” Alpha Green smiled at me before standing and walking out of the cabin where we were meeting.
“What is it?” I asked Shadow.
“Sir,” His voice was full of worry, and I immediately knew I wasn’t going to like what he was about to say.
“What happened?” I asked.
“Sir… we actually were here all the time, but it’s just… when she Shadow’s voice broke.
’Where is my woman, Shadow?” I asked, using my alpha’s voice so he would speak properly, and he took a deep breath.
“Sir, Miss Valencia is nowhere to be found. We have searched everywhere and every room, but we can’t locate her,” Shadow said.
My heart thumped loudly, and I quickly grabbed my jacket rushing out of the cabin.

“I am sorry, Alpha Green. I have a personal emergency,” I said, not stopping to explain what was going on. The man rushed with me.
I am sure he could sense something was wrong with my team, or I wouldn’t be rushing like this.
I asked Chris to step out and let me drive the car, as I wasn’t sure I could sit still behind the wheel.
The thought that something happened to her or someone abducted her started to cloud my mind, and my heart drummed against my chest.

’Could it be that the devil appeared and took her away? The Lycans said he would appear before the blue moon, and it’s in two days,’ Reaper said, his words making me even more anxious.
’If you can’t comfort me, the least you can do is stay quiet,’ I bellowed before increasing the speed of the car.
Honking and twisting the car sharply at every turn, knowing very well how many signals I was breaking and how many lives I was risking, especially my own and Chris’s. I reached the destination in thirty minutes and rushed towards the club without even turning off the engine.
“Sir,” Shadow met me halfway, and I glared at him.
Just one job. They had one job to keep an eye on their Luna, but they couldn’t do it well.
I wanted to threaten them, but that was for later. I couldn’t afford to waste my time here.
“You guys better wish she is fine, or even I don’t think what I will do if she isn’t,” I said while walking inside the private room they had booked for her to enjoy the drinks.
I was hoping to find a clue on her or anyone who might’ve entered in their absence.
“Was there someone worth suspecting? Something out of the line you might have noticed?” I asked, looking at the three men.
“There were some rogues here, sir. We couldn’t even identify them from their scent. Luna said they were using some kind of scent-hiding sprays, and she could sense them because she could sense vibes and emotions,” Liam said.
“Why didn’t you tell me this?” Shadow asked Liam, who looked awkwardly.
“You were busy,” Liam said, not elaborating on the sentence, and I glared at Shadow, who looked down in apology and shame.
The rogues were here. What were the chances that the rogues belonged to Glacier and they took her away?
No. That couldn’t be.
’It’s indeed possible. Didn’t we recently have so many related attacks?’ Reaper asked, and I pressed my lips into a thin line.
“Also—” Sean hesitated, and I narrowed my brows.
“Also, what?” I asked.
“We thought that she was in the lady’s washroom, and thus, to check, we asked a lady to check for us and found this,” Sean stepped back before he pulled out my woman’s overcoat.
“She said this was placed on the counter,” He added.
I clenched my fist and hummed.
“Check all the areas around here. Liam, go check the CCTV footage of the area and see if we can find any hint. Sean, inform the local police and ask them for cooperation and block the city’s exit immediately,” I ordered. I was about to leave when I saw the club manager rushing towards the private rooms with an anxious look.
I should ask him if he saw someone.
“Are you for real? How can a cat enter the room of the VIP guests? Do you even know how it can ruin our reputation? I had asked you to send the male escorts there. Couldn’t you check if the cat was entering alone? How can you be so useless?” The manager was shouting at the waiter.
His words caught my attention.
’Did he say a cat with the VIP guest in a room full of male escorts?’ Reaper asked, a growl leaving his mouth.
’Don’t tell me that’s our naughty cat!’ He snarled.
I took a deep breath and immediately asked everyone to hold and not enact the orders I had given a second ago.
This woman… First, I need to check if this stupid girl of mine was really enjoying some explicit view and other men just because I denied her climax.
I massaged my forehead and walked to the private room.
“Who are –” The manager spoke but stopped when he looked into my eyes. He looked at all the men behind me and must’ve discovered that I was important.
I saw Alpha Greena and his men rushing inside the club, making me close my eyes.

I nearly kicked the door of the room, startling all the people inside.

I looked around to see where my cat was, spotting that naughty white-furred cat on one of the male escorts, who was probably stopping her while pressing her against his chest.
The thought of having any other man’s hand around her made me clench my fists, and I glared at Shadow.
“If you guys want to live, you must leave immediately,” Shadow said. I noticed how the woman, hidden behind the veil, didn’t waste a second leaving; something about her screaming familiarity.
She could be any woman or anyone’s Luna. That was the least of my concerns.
I walked to the male escort holding the cat and nearly snatched the cat from his hands.
It was dark in the room, and I couldn’t see her properly, but she reeked of alcohol and male hormones, which was making me lose my mind.
