“I wouldn’t want my son to be involved in such fights. I believe you are bigger and better than that. Don’t prove your father wrong,” I said, holding his shoulder firmly.
“And also, whatever decision Emily makes, whether now or in the future, I want you to respect it like the perfect gentleman you are and remain close, as you both used to be,” I said.
Emily is an unknown woman he chose to help, not that I don’t appreciate the fact that my son helped an injured woman in need. It’s a commendable act that any parent would be proud of, and I suspected they would eventually get involved romantically from the start. But still, I would prefer to see them as siblings rather than lovers.
And as for Emily, she just feels indebted to the man who saved her life without knowing a single thing about her, and he even cares enough to know that all he wants is to care about what the future holds.
“Hi, Mr. Mico,” Vivienne said with a smile as soon as she saw us descending the stairs. She came with the girl she introduced as Christian’s fiancée the other day.
“Fancy seeing you,” I said, pecking her cheek before sitting down on the couch.
“What do we owe this visit?” I asked as soon as all the formalities were over.
“It’s a friendly visit, Mico. A friendly visit, which is more of a concerned one,” she said.

“Actually, Emily, or better still, Amira, belonged to the Moonlight Pack five years ago. My son personally brought her to the pack when he saw her miserable state p>

As much as I would love to take her words at face value, I just can’t, because it sounds too good to be true. From Christian’s words a few weeks ago, I’m sure she was the one holding her son back from being with Emily back then.
And if she is truly remorseful, like she claims to be, she should be fighting alongside her son to bring Emily to him, not supporting Tristan in getting married to her so soon.

“Do we have to wait that long? We can always have the marriage done even during the contract,” she interrupted.
“They will be the ones to decide that as well. Once they have a date, then we have a wedding to plan,” I said with a smile.
“You should start the conversation, Tristan. You know women are always shy when it comes to things like this,” she urged.
