Emily’s POV
I still find it hard to believe that Luna Vivienne and Sheela actually planned with Adrian to kill me, all because they didn’t want me to end up with Christian.
I’m actually in charge of the Predator’s Pack. I consider myself lucky to have gotten acquainted with them, and just because I made Mr. Mico spare their lives, they decided to make me their leader, and I have been taking care of them ever since.
They were fortunate to find Adrian in the woods, wounded, and I had given them a rough sketch beforehand. I received the call that they had him the night I was supposed to go to Tristan, so I had to go there to settle a grudge I had been holding for five long years.
Before his miserable death, he confessed that he had been sent to kill me five years ago by the two mischievous women. They had it all planned out, which is why they sent me into the forest to get killed. I should have suspected it sooner, but I thought they wouldn’t get involved with a maid. Little did I know, they were fully involved.
He was even more surprised when he saw that I was the unknown lady in the storage room. And before his painful demise, he told me they had planned to kill him to keep their dirty secret from Christian. That was when he breathed his last, in agony.
Sheela’s POV
“Do you think he believes us? Will he push forward the wedding plan as you requested?” I asked Luna Vivienne, who didn’t seem bothered.
“We don’t need him to believe us or be convinced. I have already achieved what I wanted. I don’t care about his reaction or response,” she said, leaving me confused. If she doesn’t care about any of that, then why did she go all the way there for such a lengthy conversation?

“You wouldn’t know, because you don’t know Mr. Mico and how he works p>
“He is a man who thinks he’s the most righteous and wisest person on earth and acts like he actually is. That is more reason I didn’t frequent that pack when Christian was little. He would have been a bad influence on my son, and Christian would have grown even worse than he is now p>
“Really? That means the two families are very close to each other p>
“He is my late husband’s best friend. They were more like brothers back then, and you know what p>
“Having such a man in your family or as someone close to your spouse can be very annoying. They tend to influence your spouse negatively while thinking they’re doing a good thing p>
“He thinks everyone has a decision to make for themselves, which is why he let his son marry a cursed girl. He thinks he’s wise, but he’s the most foolish man I have ever seen p>
“Well, I went to his pack for his son, not him. He would never give any words that come out of my mouth any consideration, so it wasn’t for him p>
“Tristan is desperate, and he’s willing to do anything for that cursed girl. I’m sure she has a special spell she uses on men,” she said.
