“And you were comfortably doing that in my presence. Do you know how painful it is to see someone you love embracing another person? I’m sure you don’t know how painful it feels. It really hurts,” he added.
“So why are you here?” I asked, looking up only to see his pouty face.
“I came here to officially apologize to you with this flower p>
“This is my token of love, and I hope it would bring us together and also start afresh,” he said, looking sincere.
“What would happen to Tristan if I should agree to this selfish proposal of yours p>
“Don’t blame me for being selfish. The love I have for you made me this way, and I really wish you would answer all the questions regarding your past disappearance, because I’m curious to know p>
“I need to know what I have done wrong in the past so I can make amends now and in the future,” he said, holding my hand before I could pull it away.
“Please give me a chance to do what I couldn’t do for you in the past. Let’s give this future of ours a chance, because for me, it’s either you or no one else,” he said sincerely.
The more he spoke, the more it called me back, like a magnetic force, and I really couldn’t resist it. I needed to regain my composure so he wouldn’t get the wrong idea, but I was too weak to look away from him.
Thankfully, the door opened, revealing Sheela. She had a lunchbox with her and stood rooted to the spot as soon as she saw the position we were both in.
Taunting her a little wouldn’t be a bad idea.
“Why are you here?” I asked, glaring at her. She interrupted a special moment for him, so I expected more from him.
“Well… I… uh…” Sheela stuttered.

“What are you saying?” Christian snapped impatiently.
“I think she is here to see me,” I guessed. She was holding a lunch bag, so I assumed she was here to give me lunch, considering their newfound friendship with me.
“Why is she here to see you? Do you both have business that I don’t know about?” He asked, looking surprised.
“I guess she’s here to give me lunch. Please, come in,” I urged, and Sheela walked in as though she was forced to.
Her gaze remained on my and Christian’s locked hands, but I didn’t make any attempt to remove it.
“Your office is beautiful,” she said in a shaky voice.
“Yeah, it is. I hope you didn’t have a hard time locating it?” I asked with a smile. Christian tried to walk away, but I held him back, making him exchange a strange glance with me. But he maintained his posture in a more intimate manner.
He’s actually an actor; I guess this is a side of him I don’t know about.
The next thing we heard were retreating footsteps. She practically ran out of the office. I guess she couldn’t take it anymore—mission accomplished.
