“What if I don’t?” I asked, walking towards him in a dangerous manner. As I took a step closer, he moved back in fear.
“What are you trying to do?” He asked, swallowing hard. Cold sweat broke out all over his face.

“You expect me to marry your daughter, whom you abandoned with the Luna? I guess you will have to wait forever to see us get married, because it would be a dream that will never come true p>
“If you know what’s good for you, get yourself and your daughter out of here while I’m still asking nicely. I might not be this merciful next time,” I said, speaking directly into his ear.
“My Lord, I guess you are mistaken. The Luna herself found her worthy to be with you. She feels you both would make a wonderful couple. It was never my idea, and my daughter is free to fall in love with whoever she wants. All I’m doing is my official duty as an elder in this pack,” he said, looking down.
“Is that so?” I asked with a smirk, and he nodded, visibly tensed.
“Then relay this to your fellow elders and everyone else in the pack p>

“I will pass your message across to everyone, my Lord,” he said.
“My Lord, dinner is served, and everyone is waiting for you,” a maid announced from the door.
“You should leave now, or will you keep bothering me with the affairs of the pack p>

“Of course not, my Lord, I will be right after you,” he said, standing behind me.
“Soothe yourself,” I said, walking away, and he slowly trailed behind me like a faithful servant.
“You are here, son. Have a seat,” my mom said, stretching her hands with a very jovial smile.
I wonder what is going on with this woman. I really hope she’s changing for good, and that all this doesn’t have something else behind it.
Tristan and Emily sat next to each other, whispering like they were the only ones at the table. I thought he had left, so why is he here? Will he really sleep over?
“Let’s eat,” my mom said.
“Tristan, how is Mr. Mico doing?” my mom asked, purposely starting a conversation.
“He is doing perfectly fine,” he replied with a smile.
“That’s good. How is the wedding preparation going? Have you both picked a date yet? I can’t wait to grace the occasion,” she said with excitement.
“That might take a little while for reasons known to us,” Amira said.
“Is everything okay between you two? Why should it take a while? It should happen sooner instead,” she urged.
