“Everything is fine, and just because it would take a while doesn’t mean we will drift apart. We just need a little time, so when we get married, we can enjoy our lives to the fullest,” Amira said with a smile, exchanging a flirty look with him.
“Okay, well, you know what’s best for you two,” she said, sounding disappointed.
“Yeah, thanks for your concern, ma’am,” Tristan said politely.
“Thanks for the meal, I will be off to my room now,” I said, walking away from the table.
I couldn’t take any more of their lovey-dovey act; it makes me want to puke.
“Alright, son, sleep tight,” Mom said behind me.
Amira’s POV
I smiled to myself as Christian left the table. I’m sure he’s feeling hot with jealousy, or maybe the jealousy is driving him almost mad.
“We have prepared a room for you to sleep over because of the unexpected downpour,” she said.
He asked in surprise, sharing a strange look with me.
“Yes, you. Or don’t you want to p>
“The rain is quite heavy, and I wouldn’t want you catching a cold while you’re here in this pack. Moreover, this is like a home to you, after all, you are Mr. Mico’s son,” she added.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can. I have things to do at the pack, and I didn’t inform my dad that I would be coming here, so I have to leave so as not to make him worried p>
“You could just call him and explain that you’re here. I’m sure he would understand, and he won’t be angry,” she said.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t. I’m sorry for turning down the offer, but I promise to sleep over some other time,” he said, getting up to take his leave.

“Let me see you out,” I said, getting up to follow him, but he held me back.
“It wouldn’t be good if you’re drenched by the rain, and I don’t want you catching a cold, so stay back for me. We’ll see each other some other time,” he said with a smile.
“Thanks for the meal, I’ll be on my way now,” he said, leaving.
“It must be hard for you to be far away from him,” she said.
“Well, not really. We are always keeping in touch with each other so we don’t have to miss each other that much,” I replied with a smile.
“That’s that. We ladies are here, so I’m thinking we do something to spice up our newfound friendship, if you don’t mind p>
“Now that you said it, I’m curious to know what it is. Please let me know p>
“Well, I’m thinking we go for a ladies’ hangout tomorrow. It’s the weekend, so we can leave the mansion and enjoy ourselves. As far as I’m concerned, not every moment should be about work. Once in a while, we need to hang out p>
“It would help strengthen our bond and allow us to get to know each other better. It’s a nice idea that can only come to life if both of you agree to it,” she said.
“Well, it sounds like a good idea. I think I’m in,” I said, returning her smile.
I’m sure they have something up their sleeve, and I’m curious to know what it is.
