“What are they talking about, Sheela? Why aren’t you saying anything?” Mom asked, tapping her.
“She is lying about me. I don’t know what she’s talking about,” Sheela said, faking tears.
“Amira, I think you’ve done enough here. You can fool my son, but you can’t fool any of us. You don’t belong here, and I won’t sit back and watch you try to spoil my son’s marriage with the woman I want for him,” Mom said.
“If you don’t want that, then I advise you to ask your choice who the father of her child is. If she doesn’t speak this minute, I’ll be forced to have her tortured until she confesses. And not even you, Alpha Gotham, will be able to talk me out of doing that, because she has insulted me as the alpha of a pack, and I won’t let it slide,” I said, putting her father in a tight corner.
“Are you ready to talk, or will you continue being stubborn?” I asked.
She yelled, and two guards rushed in.
“No, no, the child belongs to Beta Adrian…” She said, and the room went silent as soon as she uttered those words.
“What? Who?” Mom asked, looking even more shocked.
Sheela’s POV
“Whose child do you say you are carrying?” they asked in awe, staring at me as though I had horns on my forehead. They wanted the truth, and I’ve just told them, so why are they all acting like fools?
“Adrian, it’s Beta Adrian’s baby,” I repeated, wiping my tears. I never imagined something like this would happen. I didn’t see it coming.
This girl got us cornered. If I had known she would end up this way, I would have braced myself and taken care of her as Luna Vivienne always advised.

Now that I’ve mentioned Adrian, I’m sure these old fools would love to know how I became pregnant with his child. That would mean exposing everything that happened five years ago, and they would also learn that I stabbed Adrian.
Telling them would bring both me and Luna Vivienne down, but that would be a double disgrace to me, and it could also get me killed.
