Timothy and Irvin were clearly identical twins, so Magnus didn’t understand why Agatha favored Timothy so much– to the point where she had cast Irvin aside without a second thought.
Now , with Timothy gone, she still insisted on leaving everything this unborn child, She expected Irvin to devote himself to the family without getting anything in return. Her treatment of him was more like that of a grudge–holder than a mother.
“I’m biased? You’re the biased one!” Agatha snapped. “Tim treater you so well and listened to your every word. He also always thought of you first, no matter what!
She continued, “He hasn’t even been gone that long, yet you’ve already forgotten him. You want to give everything that belongs to him to someone else! How can you be so heartless, Magnus Harwell!”
Magnus‘ headache worsened.
It wasn’t that he was heartless. Regardless, their Timothy was gone, so Magnus had to think about the company’s future once he had gotten over his grief!
Besides, there was no guarantee Grace’s child would be born healthy, let alone be capable enough to shoulder the weight of being the future head of the Hardwell family!
Irvin, on the other hand, had handled the company’s affairs swimmingly despite his confused state. In fact, he had done a much better job than Timothy, whom Magnus had personally groomed. If Magnus couldn’t entrust the company to Irvin, then who else could he entrust it to?
Not wanting to bicker with his wife anymore, he hardened his expression.
Then, he said, “You of all people should know our family will not allow a cripple to be the successor. So, I don’t care what you think–you’re not allowed to stir up trouble for Emilia Quill until she fixes Irvin’s legs!
“Otherwise, don’t even think about leaving everything to your precious, unborn grandchild. There probably won’t even be anything left for you to claim by the time the child is born!”
Agatha immediately fell silent.
It didn’t matter how much she was against the situation or how much she feared Irvin would regain his memories from meeting with me. She knew Magnus had a point.
She couldn’t act rashly–not until Irvin was healed.
The physical stimulation therapy I previously mentioned was conducted with the assistance of a device. She had initially thought it would merely involve attaching Timothy to the device. As such, she had assumed anyone in our research team would have been able to handle it.
And because of this assumption, Agatha had even wanted to chase me out of the country. However, it had never occurred to her that I was the only one capable of administering treatment for Irvin’s case .
That was why she had settled for the next best thing.
Agatha had slapped me to teach me a lesson , so I wouldn’t dare try anything with Irvin. However, she hadn’t anticipated that I would be so bold as to refuse to treat him.
It was the first time she had suffered a defeat and had been humiliated by it. It had deepened her dislike for me and made it even harder for her to stand my presence.
William had already started drinking when I arrived at our agreed meeting location. He handed me a glass upon spotting me.
Feeling troubled and in genuine need of alcohol, I gladly accepted it from him and downed it in one gulp.

“Tsk , tsk , tsk. Are you all torn up because you’ve confirmed Timothy is your ex–husband?” he asked sarcastically .
Chuckling bitterly, I said, “ Yup.”
There was no need to deny anything in front of a sharp person–it was also useless to do so anyway.
William felt a flash of an unfamiliar emotion upon hearing my straightforward admission.
After a silent moment, I met his gaze and asked, “Have you known he was Irvin for a while now?”
He took a lazy sip before replying, “Not really.”
At first, he had felt something was off, but he hadn’t thought too much of it. Only after Grace had approached him and requested Noah to take me away did he begin to suspect something.
I hesitated for a moment before asking, “Then, do you know where the real Timothy is?”
