Irvin’s unexpected smile caught Agatha by surprise. She feared he had figured out her plan. After all, those who did bad things couldn’t help being afraid of getting caught.

Irvin’s smile only grew wider at her question. “Your actions, of course. I’m happy you care so much about my health, Agatha.” Irvin’s smile was so full of joy. When Agatha saw this, her heart was filled with an indescribable feeling
Back then, Irvin’s birth had been delayed. Because of it, Agatha had to endure an unbearable wave of pain when she had already been at her limit. Then, when she had been given the choice, she had chosen to abandon him without hesitation.
All these years, Agatha had been so afraid that people would find out she had given birth to identical instead of fraternal twins. So, she never checked in on Irvin once.
Then, to ease her guilt, she had brainwashed herself into believing he had been born just to torment her.

At this thought, her emotions churned uncontrollably within her. It was as though everything Agatha had desperately suppressed was now rising up against her. It was to the extent where her hand that held the fork was trembling against her will.
Agatha felt an involuntary urge to retract her hand along with the piece of salmon she had offered Irvin. But then, she remembered her beloved Timothy had tragically perished because of him. Her heart hardened again at this.
In the end, Agatha still placed the piece of salmon on Irvin’s plate.
Her darling Timothy had died just like that. Everyone had forgotten him and had easily allowed this impostor to take his place.
Agatha couldn’t forget about Timothy too. She was his mother. So, if even she had forgotten him, who would remember him?

Grace knew Agatha better than anyone. So, when she saw Agatha’s hand start to tremble, she was worried Agatha had had a change of heart and would no longer want Irvin dead. After all, he was her biological son.
Fortunately, Agatha ultimately stuck to her resolve. Even so, Grace still decided to have a proper talk with her after dinner.
Irvin ate everything Agatha had offered to him. He clearly knew she wanted to harm him, but he still polished his plate.
This was because before he died, he would make sure they lost everything. He was going to make the Hardwells suffer so terribly that their lives became a living hell.
Thus, if Agatha wanted to take his life, he would give it to her. He would consider it repayment for her giving birth to him.
