Snapping out of his thoughts, William looked at him and said, “ If you need anything from me, just let me know.”
William believed I deserved the best this world had to offer. And if Irvin wanted to pour everything he had into making it up to me, William had no reason to refuse.
“I will,” Irvin replied.
He didn’t say anything more. He just turned and walked away.
Just like how William could see Irvin genuinely wanted to make it up to me and hand me the Hardwell family’s empire, Irvin could also tell that William truly liked me.
He could see that William would really treat me well. Not only that, but William would favor me and protect me unconditionally. William did everything better than Irvin ever could. So, there was nothing left to say.
After sending Grandma home, I was about to head back to look for Cordelia. But then, a man walked up to me and stared intently at me.
I froze for a second before recognizing he was Irvin’s faithful assistant, Mason. I had nothing more to say to Irvin , much less his assistant. So, I moved to step around him and leave.
