The alarms only made Timothy more irritable. After snapping at his men to keep Irvin alive at all costs, he stormed out of the room in frustration.
Doctors were called in to resuscitate Irvin, who had just been kicked off the bed by Timothy. When they saw Irvin lying on the floor, they couldn’t help but feel exasperated.
The doctors really didn’t understand why Timothy would treat Irvin like this when he wanted Irvin to live. Was it because he thought they had too much free time?
News soon broke that the leader of the criminal organization had supposedly been in a car accident while fleeing. He had suffered critical injuries and fallen into a coma.
The moment William and I heard the news, we immediately felt something was wrong. We suspected that Timothy believed he couldn’t hold out much longer. So, he had fast–tracked to the end of his plan. Just like a gecko shedding its tail , he had used Irvin to take the fall.
Sure enough, just as we dispatched people to verify the story , news broke that Timothy had successfully returned to the Hardwell family.
He was a man with blood on his hands, someone who had committed every imaginable crime under the sun. Yet, he had seamlessly slipped away.
Not only that, but Timothy had also used his publicly known identity to return to the Hardwells and resume his role as the heir. On top of that, he had even become a hero in the eyes of the world.
Apparently, during a joint operation to dismantle the criminal organization, Timothy had discovered massive caches of key evidence of its crimes. He had also helped uncover several of its large–scale, domestic criminal plots.
In doing so, Timothy had saved countless lives and prevented families from breaking apart. So, he was now being praised as a hero among heroes.
Williamn glared at the news report with terrifyingly cold eyes. As for me, my face had gone frighteningly thunderous.
Technically, this outcome had been part of one of our plans.
Plan A was to have the authorities pressure Timothy into handing Irvin over. At the same time, we would also send people in secret to rescue Irvin.
If we could successfully get Irvin out, we would immediately destroy the entire criminal organization. Then, Timothy wouldn’t be able to shift the blame for his crimes onto Irvin.
If that failed, we would proceed with Plan B–force Timothy to end his plan prematurely. That way, he would have no choice but to bring Irvin out to take the fall for him. When he did, we would take advantage of that moment to rescue Irvin.
However, our plan wasn’t supposed to reach this point so soon.
We had just started on Plan A. We never imagined Timothy would give up this easily. And with our plan barely underway, he had ended everything himself and skipped straight to his final move.
So, while we had achieved one of our goals without doing anything all it did was make us want Timothy dead even more.
It was even more so when someone like him was being hailed as a hero in everyone’s hearts. Meanwhile, Irvin, who was the biggest victim, was about to become the world’s greatest villain in everyone’s eyes.
I had never wanted anyone dead as much as I do right now.
William and I were so eager to see Timothy dead. In contrast, Magnus and Agatha were shocked when they saw him return. But after their initial shock wore off , they were ecstatic, especially Agatha.
