We were about to attend a major international business conference This conference was a crucial opportunity for us to find key evidence that could clear Irvin’s name. We had to attend.

But instead of getting angry, I even smiled and snidely replied, “Yes, I didn’t expect we would meet again so soon, either. But I do think this isn’t where we’re meant to meet. I hope the next time we do, you’ll already be where you actually belong.”
Understanding exactly what I was implying, Timothy smiled wickedly and looked maliciously at William and me.
“I may not know exactly where I should be, but I do know you both are harboring an internationally wanted criminal. That’s a crime, and you two will be heading to prison very soon,” he retorted.
Timothy had learned the authorities hadn’t found Irvin despite raiding his base. The moment he heard, he had immediately suspected William and I had rescued Irvin.
These past few days, Timothy had had people tailing us closely. And sure enough, they had discovered where we were hiding Irvin.
Harboring an international fugitive was a serious offense. We had backed Timothy into a corner and forced him to cut his plans short, which resulted in massive losses for him.
