Henry had just started to feel a little guilty toward me. But the moment those words left my lips, he completely snapped.
“Emilia! You seriously can’t blame your mom and me for not loving you. Just listen to yourself! That’s your brother, your twin brother!” he yelled.
I looked at him with a cold smile. “Why are you so shocked? Haven’t you always said I’m vicious? Isn’t it only natural for someone so vicious to hurt even her own family?” I asked casually
Henry opened his mouth like he wanted to respond, but no word came out. After a long pause, he finally seemed to think of something to say, but I didn’t give him the chance.
I called someone in and had him escorted out.
As he was being dragged away, Henry looked back at me in disbelief. It was as if he couldn’t imagine that I’d actually throw him
out.
After all, he was my father.
But that was just how my parents were.
No matter what they had done to me, they still believed that I should respect them just because they were my biological parents, let alone entertain the idea of laying a hand on them.
They never once considered that even if we were related by blood, wouldn’t stand there forever and just take it, getting hurt again and again without ever fighting back.
If they couldn’t love me as parents, why should I love them as a daughter?

When William showed up, he happened to see Henry being dragged away.

After the guards took him away, William turned to me and asked, “What did he do this time?”
He knew exactly what my parents were like , so he didn’t even need to ask to know that Henry wasn’t here for anything good.
