Both were completely stunned when their eyes locked. A long moment passed before either could react.
Before Timothy could even say a word, Agatha grabbed his arm tightly. Filled with excitement and hope, she asked, “Are you here to save me, Tim?”
Thanks to the prestige of the Hardwell family name, life inside this place hadn’t been harsh for Agatha ever since she had been committed.
However, she had grown up pampered and later married into Lestoria’s wealthiest family. So, for someone as distinguished as, her, being locked away in a mental institution was already the greatest form of humiliation on earth. It was the worst punishment imaginable.
Because of this, Agatha had tried everything she could think of to get out. However, no matter what she tried, every attempt had failed.
She had been desperate to leave this place. Hence, when she spotted Timothy, her most beloved son, she had forgotten to ask how he was doing. Her immediate thought was to ask if he had come to rescue her.
Then, before Timothy could answer, Agatha sobbed and choked out, “You have to save me, Tim. I can’t stay here for another day

Agatha had treated Timothy so well. So much so that even someone as inherently evil as he only felt exasperated toward her.
He had never considered turning against her. If he had still been living well and free, he definitely wouldn’t have allowed her to rot in a place like this.
Remembering his current predicament, Timothy huffed coldly and said, “I’d love to save you, Mom , but right now, I’m just a fugitive. I could be caught and executed at any moment. So, how am I supposed to save you?”
“A fugitive?” Agatha repeated in disbelief.
She had been stunned at first. Then, it came back to her.
Timothy had been arrested by the police before she had been committed to this place. She had only been sent away to this place because he had been caught and because she was so desperate to see Irvin dead.
Over the past two years, Agatha’s mental state had already been unstable due to extreme emotional swings and trauma. Plus, she didn’t want to be committed to a psychiatric hospital. Hence, when she had first been committed, she had resisted fiercely.
Because of this, Agatha was injected with sedatives several times a day, which only worsened her mental state. She was often disoriented and forgetful.
Snapping back to reality, she grew worried and anxious about Timothy’s fugitive status.
“Then what do we do? What do we do?” she asked.
Seeing Agatha uselessly repeating the same question, Timothy instinctively felt an urge to criticize her. But then, a thought struck him.
If he could lure Irvin here, he could carry out his original plan of swapping identities with Irvin and having him die in his place while he lived on.
Suddenly, Timothy found a great deal of patience for Agatha.
“Calm down first, Mom, and think. Under what circumstances do you feel Irvin would come visit you without suspecting a thing? ” he asked.
