Isla walked back to the table, her heart still beating from the encounter with Noah. She tried to compose herself, but she could feel the others‘ eyes on her, sensing that something was off.

As the guests began to disperse, Brenda’s eyes never left Isla’s face. Isla could feel the anger and resentment stemming from her, and she knew that she had to be careful. Brenda was Noah’s wife at all and she was not a woman to be messed with.
As the evening drew to a close, Isla made her way out of the restaurant, her mind filled with thoughts of Noah and Alex. She couldn’t believe what had happened with Noah, and she felt guilty for leading Alex on.
As she walked out into the cool night air, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to see a figure dressed in black standing behind her, a cold smile spreading across her face.
