“Impossible! She wouldn’t marry someone else p>
He could barely stand, fury making him sweep everything off his desk in a violent crash.
Then he kicked the desk hard enough to leave a dent.
His assistant didn’t dare speak.
Ethan lost it completely, screaming into the phone: “Who’s she marrying? I don’t give my consent p>
The assistant hesitated, stuttering: “Sir… she’s marrying Sebastian Cross p>
That stopped Ethan cold.
“It’s only been a week! How could Charlotte already be marrying someone else p>
“She’s just throwing a tantrum p>
“Everyone knows Sebastian’s my biggest rival. She’s only doing this to piss me off p>
His confidence started returning as he spoke.
After all, he knew exactly how much Charlotte loved him.
Then he remembered the miscarriage report.
“Harrison, I need you to investigate why my wife lost the baby p>
If Charlotte could get pregnant, then marrying her wouldn’t have to be so complicated.
As for Lily…
He had the perfect solution. Keep her far away from Charlotte-one in the south, one in the north. They’d never have to interact.
Since Charlotte was upset, he’d be generous and go smooth things over.
And he’d show Sebastian that he couldn’t steal his projects OR his woman.
A smug smile spread across Ethan’s face.
He drove to the hotel. Time to get his woman hack.
I stood in my wedding dress, looking at the ceremony Ethan had delayed and postponed for years.
Turns out when someone actually gives a damn, a week is plenty of time to pull together something beautiful.
I walked down the aisle on my father’s arm toward Sebastian.

He didn’t bother hiding the admiration in his eyes.
My parents knew how miserable Ethan had made me, so seeing someone willing to truly cherish me brought tears to their eyes.
Sebastian looked at them with complete sincerity: “Don’t worry. I promise I’ll take good care of her p>
Dad nodded, and just as he was about to place my hand in Sebastian’s p>
Ethan burst through the doors, shouting: “Charlotte! I’m here to make up! You’ve had your fun-time to come home p>
I almost laughed.
FUN?
He strode forward with absolute confidence, grabbing my hand with a hint of exasperation in his voice:
“Babe, I know you’re pissed about the Lily situation. I’ll send her away tomorrow, okay? Stop being dramatic. Dragging poor Sebastian into your
little tantrum just to spite me-you’re such a feisty little thing p>
He stared Sebastian down, pure challenge in his eyes.
I tried to pull my hand free, but he only gripped tighter.
Sebastian’s face went dark, his voice ice-cold:
“Ethan, what exactly do you think you’re doing to my wife p>
Ethan’s expression turned ugly with disdain:
“Your wife? Charlotte’s obsessed with me. She’s just using you to make me jealous p>
I snorted and yanked my hand free, voice dripping with sarcasm:
“Don’t you think pretty highly of yourself? I genuinely want to marry Sebastian p>
Ethan didn’t believe it. He pointed at my stomach, voice rising: “But you were already carrying my child! And we have so much history together-you can’t just forget that! You’ve only known Sebastian for a week p>
