Chapter 33
Elijah Vaughn
The deep rumble of his laughter against my skin made me hold my breath.
“Good boy p>
His tone dripped with satisfaction–possessive, claiming.
He pulled away slightly but stayed close enough for his presence to remain suffocating.
His gaze locked onto mine–piercing, merciless.
“Don’t make me jealous, darling p>
His voice dropped to a dangerous pitch, laced with a deadly warning.
‘You wouldn’t want to see what happens when I lose control p>
His fingers slid slowly through my hair before finally letting go.
And then… he smiled.
My heart raced at those words.
This man is insane. God help me.
He actually thinks looking at someone for a second is a problem? That it means something?
I didn’t even see anything wrong!
But arguing wasn’t an option.
I took a deep breath and turned my focus back to the food, ignoring the stares that still lingered around us.
I ate in silence, each bite heavy in my throat as I tried to process everything. When I finished, I lifted my head and scanned the cafeteria–until something caught my eye.
Víbora sat at another table, surrounded by a different group. His face was bruised, his eyes blazing with fury. I swallowed hard when I realized he was staring straight at me. This time, I didn’t look away.
That little shit probably did something to another guy and is already clinging to a new protector.
“Rabbit p>
That deep voice pulled me back.
I turned my head and met his intense gaze.
“Go do your duties. I’ve got things to take care of. I’ll see you in the cell p>
Before I could react, he caught me off guard with a quick kiss, then stood and walked out of the cafeteria with another man.
My throat went dry as I realized everyone was still watching. Their eyes felt like blades, dissecting every detail of what had just happened.
Without a word, I stood and made my way to Fox. Without hesitation, he grabbed my arm and dragged me toward the hallway. His grip was tight, his steps rushed, and I couldn’t hide my confusion.

We didn’t go straight to the kitchen like usual, and doubt immediately crept in. Before I could ask, he glanced at my face and spoke first.
Too many people in there p>
His voice was low but serious.
“ No way we could talk properly. So spill it. What the hell is going on between you two? I’ve never seen the Reaper act like that. ”
I let out a heavy sigh, already knowing I wouldn’t get out of this.
He was relentless. If he wanted something, he wouldn’t stop until he got it.
‘It’s a long story p>
He crossed his arms and gave me an impatient look like he didn’t have time for bullshit. I groaned and gave in.
‘Fine. I took your advice and decided to set my pride aside p>
I glanced at him before continuing.
‘Obeying the Reaper seemed like the smartest choice. I ran into him in the hallway last night after that crap Víbora pulled. We talked … if you can call it that. He gave me two choices: obey or disobey. I chose to obey. And now here we are. ”
His eyes widened, shock written all over his face.
“So that’s why he killed Dog p>
He whispered it more to himself, as if trying to piece something together.
I frowned. “What do you mean? Who the hell is Dog p>
He sighed.
“You don’t know p>
My stomach twisted. “Know what p>
He tilted his head, analyzing me.
“The Reaper killed Dog. That guy who made Víbora his little plaything p>
He leaned back against the wall.
‘He killed him for letting Víbora humiliate you. And then he beat the crap out of Víbora himself. That’s why he looks like that p>
My eyes widened, a cold shiver shooting through me.
“I thought he got beaten up by some other guy for messing around again… I didn’t know it was the Reaper p>
Fox narrowed his eyes and pointed directly at my lips.
“Did he hit you p>
Instinctively, I touched the corner of my mouth, feeling the sore cut. My eyes shifted away.
There was no way I was telling him the truth.
No fucking way I’d admit that the injury wasn’t from a punch–but from Dante’s massive cock tearing my mouth open.

The long silence made him smirk.
“ You don’t have to say it. I got the message p>
I rolled my eyes, feeling my face heat up. That only made him laugh harder.
“ Well, at least you finally listened and dropped that stupid pride. Now you might actually survive. ”
The smug look on his face irritated me.
* Smartass, I muttered, looking away.
He laughed again, clearly pleased with himself.
Before I could reply, a guard approached.
