The air was thick with the aroma of countless street foods, and the constant flow of people created a lively, bustling atmosphere. It was chaotic, yet Rebekah found a sense of peace she hadn’t felt in a long time.
“I remember you made grilled fish for me once back when we were abroad. You must really like fish, huh?” Rebekah asked, looking at him.
Jensen raised an eyebrow, surprised that she had brought up their past. Ever since they had reconnected, she had maintained a certain distance.
He methodically picked the bones from a piece of fish and placed it on her plate, his charming eyes holding a hint of allure. “I do,” he said, his gaze fixed not on the fish, but on her.
