Chapter 130
Rebekah was thrown violently to the floor. Her head slammed against a corner, and for a moment, the world went black.
Justin entered the small, dusty room, a baseball bat in his hand. He was silhouetted against the light, his handsome face lost in shadow, but his eyes gleamed with malice.
Rebekah clutched her head and pushed herself up, her gaze locked on him. The scene was sickeningly familiar, pulling her back three years. Justin had been younger then, his blows unrestrained. Even now, she could remember the feeling of curling into a ball as his fists rained down on her, could almost hear the crack of bone.
Today, he was dressed in a tailored suit, his hair slicked back. The veneer of aristocratic civility only made the demonic glint in his eyes more terrifying. He dragged the bat across the dusty floor, the scraping sound like a death knell in her
ears.
“You injured Candice’s leg and ruined her career, Rebekah. Didn’t I warn you three years ago?” Justin’s voice was ice.
Rebekah’s limbs felt weak, but her eyes were wide with defiance. “I didn’t injure her p>
“You didn’t?” He let out a cold laugh, his expression twisting into a snarl. He swung the bat at her head.
The motion was swift. Rebekah managed to jerk her head aside, but the bat connected squarely with her shoulder. A searing pain shot through her, and she collapsed to the floor, her face ashen.
“The video clearly shows you pushing her, and you’re still denying it? Her competition is just around the corner! Do you have any idea how important this is to her?” he roared. “You bitch! You’ve been stealing from her since you were a child! What gives you the right p>
His face was contorted, as if he were a different person entirely.
Rebekah’s hand closed around a handful of loose gravel on the floor. As he raised
the bat for another blow, she threw it with all her might.
Justin cried out as the grit hit his eyes, dropping the bat.
Rebekah scrambled to her feet, ignoring the pain, and ran for the door. But the bodyguards blocked her path.
“You bitch, I’m going to kill you today!” Justin roared, rubbing his eyes and motioning for the guards to bring her back.
“Justin! This is assault! Do you know what you’re doing?” Rebekah screamed, but she was no match for them.
Her face was chalk-white as she was dragged back inside. As Justin picked up
the bat and advanced on her, she tried to back away, but there was nowhere to
go.
“Assault? This is the Forrester
estate. You’re my cousin’s wife. As long as he doesn’t press charges, you can call the police all you want, but it won’t do you any good.” Justin paused, then a cruel smile spread across his face. By the way, do you know why Benjamin didn’t call the police three years ago p>
Rebekah stared at him, silent.
He leaned in close, his eyes filled with a sadistic light. “Because I told him I did it for Candice. And he let it go p>

The truth hit Rebekah with the force of a physical blow. She could still clearly remember lying in that
