Neither of them mentioned a word about what had happened that day. Annabel kept her distance from Rupert. Rupert, on the other hand, reverted to his usual indifferent, distant self.
Annabel poured all her attention into the Ice and Fire project. The project ran smoothly and even exceeded the predicted progress.
Brett, of course, was satisfied with the result.
