I swear, watching these pureblood werewolves turn on themselves due to trivial matters like social standing and class was exhausting.
But I had no choice… I had to keep the facade of being the nice Beta of Bluemoon so my plan could come to fruition.
This whole thing wouldn’t have begun if it hadn’t been for all the hiding I’d had to do because of my nature. My true nature.
I sat in my private suite, taking a sip from a glass of wine while looking through some old photo albums. Most of the photos were pictures of me and my father… The past Beta of the pack.
He was a stern-looking man with hazel eyes like mine as well as a black mustache streaked with white strands.
“Oh, father.” I chuckled dryly, using my fingers to gently caress his face in the picture. “If only you were here to see how far your little ‘abomination’ has grown p>
My lips curled up into a smirk as I remembered old memories that only a few knew.
However, my mind came back to the present when my assistant, Rowland, walked into the suite with his usual expressionless face.
“Sir, it’s time for the ceremony of the Moon’s Chosen.” He announced with a slight bow.
Oh… Finally.
Standing up from my seat, I adjusted my suit, checking out my hair for one last time in a mirror before turning my gaze to Rowland.
“Okay, let’s go.” I waved my hand, waltzing out of the suite with Rowland.
Phew… That was quite a dramatic spectacle to behold.
At the hall where the ceremony was taking place, Kaene, my ‘best friend’ and the Alpha, as well as his mother and most of the nobles around were in stitches when the Moon’s Chosen was finally revealed.
And wow, was she breathtaking.
No, I wasn’t just talking about physical beauty either. I was talking about something more… Something unique about her that even I couldn’t decipher.
Too bad these entitled nobles couldn’t see that. To them, she was nothing more than a petty maid.
Heck, they even tried insinuating that she’d used sorcery to change the decision of the moon goddess somehow.
“How delusional.” I scoffed to myself, silently watching the chaos around the hall as it unfolded.
Any wolf with half a brain would know it was impossible for mere magic to change the moon goddess’ will.
But it seemed all the members of this pack shared the same brain cell.
Anyway, after Kaene publicly rejected his mate, Phoebe, Elder Gita called an urgent meeting with the other members of the Alpha council.
We were going to make Phoebe stay and hopefully convince the Alpha to accept her along the way.
Ugh… Boring.
I couldn’t help testing my charms on the Alpha’s mate, calling her ‘honey’ to see her reaction. And as expected, she liked me already.
“That could be to my advantage,” I muttered to myself after leading Phoebe to her suite in the Alpha’s mansion and heading to my office.
It was located in my private residence and gave me the privacy I needed to carry out my plans.
With Phoebe in the picture, there will be a little change.
“Rowland I called for my assistant who stood just outside the door.
He stepped in after a few seconds, giving me a small bow. “Yes, master p>
I rolled my eyes, waving at him dismissively. “Oh, come on, you can drop the act in this office. Tell me, has former Luna Catherine taken the bait as planned p>
A smirk broke across Rowland’s face as he nodded. “She was so easy. She gave me a mission already… To put a powerful aphrodisiac in your drink and get you near Phoebe who apparently is in heat p>
Oh? Hehe… How deviously delicious of the former Luna.
“So, let me guess.” I rubbed my chin as I got up, pacing around my office. “She wants to set me and Phoebe up, using our inevitable meeting to get evidence against her of cheating? Evidence that she’ll probably show to that stuck-up son of hers that’ll get him to chase her out p>
Rowland nodded, confirming my deduction.
I knew it. I knew these corrupt wolves would stop at nothing to obtain their goals, even if it meant taking down someone innocent in the process.
Luckily for me… I’ve always been one step ahead of them.
“Why stop at giving me the aphrodisiac?” I asked out loud, a mischievous grin curling up my lips. “We could give Phoebe the drug as well, making it more likely for her to give in to her hidden desires p>
I paused, licking my lips before drawing in a deep breath. “Can you imagine the amount of delicious lust that’ll come from her when she gets a dosage of that drug alongside her heat p>
To put it mildly… Phoebe wouldn’t be able to resist me if that happened. Not in a million years.
Just then, Rowland remarked. “I assume it’ll be a sight to behold, master Negan p>
I couldn’t help rolling my eyes when he called me ‘master’ again.
Ugh, the annoying gremlin. He’d been my partner in crime for years, an ‘abomination’ like myself and also my right-hand man.
He was also the second most powerful in our little organization of abominations who were all outcasts— werewolf hybrids with witch and even vampire sides who’d been chased out of their packs or ostracized.
I was a pretty young member of the organization, a werewolf-witch hybrid, and had managed to climb up the ranks and become the leader, surpassing the expectations of the centuries-old Elders backing our organization.
They’ve been gathering members all this while for one goal… To overthrow the balance of the pureblood werewolves and take over their packs, making the Hybrids the supreme beings of the planet.
But that had been an almost impossible plan… At least, before I showed up anyway.
“From all the information we’ve gathered about Phoebe’s habits, I have an educated guess of where she is right now.” I voiced out, ignoring Rowland’s last statement. “Let’s go make Catherine’s twisted plan a reality, shall we p>
Getting close to her would make our uprising much easier. I was sure of it.
