Chapter 112

Before Rowland could rant more about his dislike for Phoebe, I left the house and snuck to the Alpha mansion.

I entered her suite and managed to get her to come with me to the garden where I’d hanged Brittany’s body for a ’walk p>

And dearie me, her reaction when she finally saw her maid’s body was priceless!

’You’re welcome, honey.’ I thought to myself as I watched her acting all hysterical as she gawked at Brittany’s body.

After we called in the Alpha council to ’investigate’ my plan began working.

Phoebe was openly showing her distrust for the Delta and even confronting him.

It was clear that the both of them were at odds and it was fun seeing Phoebe defend herself with her words against him.

Anyway, after dropping her back in her suite, I arrived at my private residence with a satisfied smirk on my face.

“I take it your ’plan’ went well,” Rowland mumbled from where he sat on one of the sofas.

He was sweaty and now wore nothing but his underwear.

I stared at him with amusement. “It did. And I take it that your ’plan’ went well as well p>

Rowland chuckled, wiping off something from his lips with his fingers. “Oh, it did. That girl is a wild card. I almost felt bad when I had to drain her of her blood when we were done p>

Ugh… Not this again.

“Well, get rid of the body and any evidence before another murdered werewolf case falls on this pack,” I said with a dismissive sigh, heading for the stairs.

However, Rowland soon called me back with curiosity in his voice. “So… Now what p>

I paused in my tracks, turning my gaze to him. “What do you mean p>

He rolled his eyes and got up, walking toward me with playful steps that made me dim my eyes at first.

“Well, the pack has been in more chaos than ever since Phoebe became Luna. The bodies have been piling up and the Alpha is almost certainly about to get assassinated by the Delta.” He went on and on while remained silent, staring at him with a bored expression.

“Can you get to the point?” I arched an eyebrow, my tone showing my eagerness to leave.

Rowland blinked at me for a bit before he dramatically said what was on his mind. “When are we bringing this pack to its knees? When are we going to snatch control and then slowly dominate the other packs p>

Oh… That.

Our mission in this pack has always been to bring it to its knees so it would be easy for the brotherhood to take control of.

Blue Moon Pack was one of the greatest in the world. If they fell… The rest would follow.

Anyway, I smirked, placing my hand on Rowland’s shoulder. “Be patient, Rowland. We’ll be done with this pack soon enough p>

He stared blankly at me for a while before nodding. “Very well, Negan p>

And with that, I turned away from him and continued heading up the stairs.

The next day, I woke up feeling oddly refreshed.

Well, killing someone does tend to have that effect on me.

I hopped out of bed and decided to head outside after bathing and dressing up in an ash suit.

And I didn’t just plan on going ’outside p>

“Good morning, Beta Negan.” The guards at the gates to the Alpha’s mansion greeted me with awkward expressions on their faces.

I glanced at them and merely nodded, the smirk on my face never disappearing.

The air was a bit cold thanks to the approaching winter but the sun shone brightly above me.

I finally got into the mansion and patted a random maid on the shoulder. “Did the Alpha go to work today?” I queried.

The maid turned her gaze to me, her face reddening as she quickly bowed. “N– No, my Beta. He stayed back today p>

Hmm p>

“And why’s that?” I went on, arching a curious eyebrow.

Ugh, don’t tell me it’s because of something sappy like him wanting to look after Phoebe or something.

I think I’m going to puke just thinking about that possibility.

Just when the maid was about to respond to me, a deep voice chimed in. “Negan p>

I paused, squinting my eyes before I swerved my body to the familiar voice.

The person I saw was none other than Mr. Thatcher, who wore a black suit that hugged his tight body and had a cigarette in his fingers, which he took long drags of before puffing out the smoke.

Oh, dearie me, not him!

He was the pinnacle of everything I hated about Pureblood werewolves. Even worse than Catherine… And that was saying something.

“I’m surprised you’re still showing your face in this mansion after the whole… Scandal surrounding you.” He spoke up with amusement in his voice, walking up to me slowly.

However, even though I’d already imagined tens upon hundreds of ways of ripping his head off his body, I retained a smile on my face and even walked to him and shook his hand.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you here, Mr. Thatcher,” I remarked, taking him by surprise.

After I withdrew my hand, I continued. “I’m actually here to discuss something with the Alpha. You see, myself and the rest of the Alpha council encountered a situation that we decided not to share with him because we didn’t want to disturb him p>

Mr. Thatcher tilted his head— or at least what was left of it after it got swallowed by his fat ass neck.

“So, why do you want to tell him now?” He queried, dimming his eyes.

He couldn’t be serious.

“I don’t know, Mr. Thatcher. Maybe it’s because it’s my duty as Beta to report things to the Alpha.” I made sure my tone oozed with sarcasm, looking the man straight in his eyes.

His eyes twitched but he ignored my remark and smirked. “You might be the Beta now but know that your time in that seat is numbered p>

Oh, was that a threat? Hehe… I love a good challenge.

I took a step forward, making sure to bring my mouth to his ears. “And your plans are about to fail so woefully that you’ll have no choice but to… Disappear p>

Mr. Thatcher’s face paled at my words. They were subtle but the threat was clear.

I was unto him and the Delta.
