Ryan looked so happy as he smiled at her. He was genuinely delighted.
But was he happy because Tessa was finally becoming his Luna? Or because he had achieved his goal with Chloe?

When they arrived at the wedding dress shop, Tessa was shocked to see Chloe there.
At first glance, Chloe was wearing the wedding dress that Tessa had ordered and custom–made.
Without asking for Tessa’s approval, Chloe had put it on, grinning happily as she posed in front of the mirror.

Not just the dress, but this man–everything could be hers.
Ryan stared at Chloe, his gaze fixed on her with admiration.

It sounded like a polite comment, but it was heartfelt praise.
Tessa felt disgust rise within her. She looked at Chloe with cold eyes.

Tessa turned her gaze to him, her eyes cold and empty. There was no anger, only an overwhelming sense of numbness.
He knew her so well, so he must have realized that she hated wearing clothes that had been worn by someone else even if it was her own dress.
For the first time, Tessa felt like the man before her was a stranger,

She lifted her gaze to Chloe, not wanting to argue.

With that, Tessa turned and left the bridal shop without another word.
Ryan quickly followed, rushing to catch up and grabbing her wrist.

She left him standing in the bridal shop and made her way home alone.
