She’s actually Heather. A cold-blooded assassin.” His voice dropped further. “She might’ve been playing with you the whole time. Why are you so eager to throw yourself into her web? Hugh squared his shoulders and snapped, “How can you say that about Mabel? She’s a kind, simple girl. You’re slandering her for no reason p>
“You—” Myles stepped forward, so furious that he nearly raised his hand and slapped Hugh in exasperation. “Have you lost your mind p>
