Mrs. Barrett held up the bottle. It was a simple, white container with no flashy designs—a return to basics. When she unscrewed the cap, there was no overwhelming fragrance. Leo sniffed it carefully but detected no strange odors. Then, he examined the ingredient list.
It was filled with various plant-based medicinal extracts. As a veteran of the skincare industry, Leo had never seen so many medicinal compounds in a single product. Didn’t Caitlin know that all medicines carry some risk? These ingredients might seem safe on their own, but when combined, they could easily have adverse reactions.

Before, the keloids were roughly the same color as her skin but now he could clearly see that the slightly raised tissue had turned a noticeable shade of red.
