A R I A N A
The car was too quiet with Dante too busy on his phone call.
I bit on my lower lip as I stared out the window my stomach was a tight knot.
I knew I had made a big mistake,a huge mistake.
Last night Dante had used sex out of my ptr desperation to convince me and his words, they were heart warming that I couldn’t think straight I agreed to work for him and working for Dante meant working in the same building as Angelo. It meant being near the man who threatened me, the man who wanted nothing but my downfall.
I felt sick.
But Dante left me no other choice, he had manipulated me into working for him.

What have you gotten yourself into?
“You will be my personal assistant,” Dante said breaking the silence in the car his voice was calm and sure.
I looked at him. “Okay? What will I do p>
“You will be with me,” he said like it was the most simple thing in the world. “You will manage my schedule, take my calls. You will come to all my meetings with me, you’ll handle my emails and you will be the one I talk to about all my ideas p>
He looked at me. “Your job is to be my right hand, next to me always p>
My heart sank even further. Next to him always that meant everyone would see me, the woman that betrayed her husband and try to ruin him was back now.
How are the press going to handle this news?
The car stopped in front of a huge glass skyscraper of Dante’s Company.
My hands were sweating as I felt like I couldn’t breathe.
Dante got out and came around to open my door holding out his hand and I took it, my legs felt weak.
We walked towards the big shiny front doors seeing our reflection. Just as we reached the door I went to push it open.
But Dante’s arm shot out grabbing me gently by the waist and pulled me back towards him.
“And where do you think you are going?” he asked a playful smile on his face.
“Inside? To the Receptio?” I said my voice a little shaky.
He shook his head. “Not without this p>
Then he leaned down and claimed my lips in a deep hungry kiss right there in front of the big glass doors and people were probably watching.
At first I was too surprised to react but then it registered, my fingers clutched the fabric of his expensive shirt I kissed him back forgetting for a moment about Angelo, and the mistake I made for agreeing to work with Dante.
When he finally broke the kiss we were both breathing heavily.
“I am already tempted to take you tight here,” he whispered his forehead resting against mine. “Forget about work p>
I pushed at his chest lightly my face warm. “You are a pervert. We are at your office p>
He laughed. “I am your husband. It is my job to make my wife feel good”
“Your job is to run a company,” I said trying to sound stern.
“My most important job is you,” he said, his eyes serious for a second. Then he smiled again. “And the kids. Now are you ready to go inside Mrs. Russo p>
I took a deep breath. “Yes. Let’s go p>
He held the door open for me and we walked into the huge busy lobby, people were everywhere staring at us as they whispered.
We got into a private elevator It went straight up to the top floor. Dante’s office.
The doors opened into a beautiful quiet reception area and there standing right in the middle of it talking to Dante’s secretary was Angelo.
My heart dropped to my feet.
I froze.
He saw us his eyes went wide for a second before he put on a fake smile.
“Uncle! Good morning,” he said moving his stare to me with his eyes cold, but his smile stayed. “Ariana? My goodness When did you get back to the city? This is a surprise p>

He was pretending as though he wasn’t the one that had threatened me yesterday.
Dante put his arm around my waist. “Ariana is back for good and she is going to be working here starting today, she is my new personal assistant p>
Angelo’s smile looked stiff. “Is that so? Wow. What a… wonderful surprise. Welcome to the company Ariana p>
I didn’t say anything I just looked at him hoping that my eyes showed him I was not afraid.
That I was going to get to bottom of this and make sure Dante realizes that Angelo hasn’t changed from being the selfish bastard that her is.
Before I could find the world to respond to him, a woman walked in
“Mr. Russo your 9:30 is waiting in the conference room,” she said.
“Thank you Clara,” Dante said. “Please show Ariana to her office It’s the one right next to mine p>
“Of course sir. Right this way Ms. Russo p>
Dante leaned in and kissed my cheek softly.
“Go on,” he said gently. “Clara will get you settled I will see you soon and also let me know if you need anything”
I nodded forcing a smile. I gave Angelo one last glare then I turned and followed Clara.
She led me down a short hallway to a beautiful.bright office. It had a big window with a amazing view of the city.
“This is your office Ms. Russo,” Clara said with a smile. “If you need anything just let me know p>
“Thank you Clara and please, call me Ariana” I said.
She smiled nodding, “Very well”
