The man eyed them both with a dark glare. “Don’t stick your noses where they don’t belong. That woman hurt one of our guys. We’re taking her with us-end of story p>
“Oh yeah?” Ethan said, taking off his jacket and handing it to Jill. “I’d love to see what that looks like p>
The man sneered. “Fine. Since you’re asking for it, don’t blame us for what happens next. Grab that bitch p>
His crew surged forward. A brief scuffle broke out, the crowd around them watching tensely.
Lilian glanced at the girl Natalie was shielding. She looked about sixteen or seventeen, delicate and almost heartbreakingly pretty. But in her eyes was a glint of something much sharper-she wasn’t as innocent as she looked.
Noticing Lilian’s gaze, the girl-Spring-hurriedly dropped her eyes and put on a timid, helpless expression.
Lilian let out a cold, silent laugh. Quite the little actress.
Ethan and Carson had been trained since they were young. It didn’t take long for them to take the men down.
The leader of the group gritted his teeth and stood back up, his face twisted in pain. “This isn’t over.” He shot one last vicious look at Spring, then turned and left with his men p>
Once they were gone, Spring stepped out from behind Natalie, her voice soft and sweet. “Thank you so much. I don’t know what I would’ve done if you hadn’t stepped in.” Tears welled in her eyes as she spoke.

Spring looked flustered. “They were trying to grab me, and I accidentally hurt one of them while trying to get away. Then they chased me here p>
Ethan stared at her for a moment, then said coolly, “Well, it’s over now, Let’s head back p>
He had no intention of digging deeper into her story-it had nothing to do with him. If it hadn’t been for Natalie and Luna, he wouldn’t have stepped in at all.
The group turned to leave. Spring quickly followed them out of the bar.
Carson took Joy and Nancy and left in his own car.

Natalie smiled. “Don’t worry, they’re gone now. My brother already scared them off. You’re safe p>
“But what if they come back?” Spring asked, milking every ounce of her fragile image.
Natalie was about to answer when Ethan cut in, “Then there’s nothing more we can do. It’s late, and we’re heading home. Please take care of yourself.” Without waiting for a response, he led the others to the car and drove off.
Spring watched them leave, her eyes flashing with resentment.
With exams finally over, Lilian took the chance to fully relax. She spent the next two days holed up at home.
Even Sunny had been let out and was happily pacing the living room.
Lilian sat scrolling through Twitter on her phone.
After her video went viral, Wayne had made sure her face was blurred, but still publicly announced that the singer was Skyreach Group Entertainment’s new artist. As he’d said himself, “No need to let good resources go to waste.” He even helped Lilian launch her own Twitter account.
In just a month, she had over a million followers.
She found the comments pretty amusing.
Most were asking when her album would drop.
Others wanted to know why she never posted a full-face photo. Everyone was dying to know what she looked like.
