Vivian tightened her grip on her phone, her knuckles turning white.
Just the thought of that woman made her teeth grind. It was because of her that Vivian had been branded a mistress for life; because of her brilliance, her dazzling presence, she had been nothing but a shadow.

So she would make sure her daughter lived a life full of suffering.
