“Lillian! Lillian!” Natalie’s voice was high-pitched, breathless with excitement through the phone.
“You scored a 1570! Do you even realize what that means? Your name’s blowing up all over Solara-reporters are scrambling to find you p>
The score didn’t surprise her. She’d always lived by one rule, if being first was within reach, second place was never an option-even if the margin was just a single point.
“Natalie, calm down. When were the scores released?” Lillian asked evenly.
Natalie’s voice stayed sharp with excitement. “They came out just after midnight yesterday. And today? Riverdale High is in chaos. Reporters are everywhere, and parents are begging for advice on how to raise a kid like you. Everyone wants to see this year’s SAT top scorer in person p>
Lillian pressed a hand to her forehead, helpless. Wonderful. Just what I needed-more headaches.
After hanging up with Natalie, her phone barely stopped ringing-Sebastian called, then Jasper, then her homeroom teacher, and even Jill and the others.
It felt like her peaceful life had been shattered overnight.
Leonard noticed the way her brows pinched together and let out a quiet chuckle. “If you’ve been given such rare talent, don’t waste it. Do something meaningful with it-push your limits, broaden your horizons. I believe you’ll go farther than you realize p>
Hearing the quiet weight in his words, Lillian wrapped her arms around his arm, voice soft but steady. “Master Leonard, don’t worry. I’ll remember your advice. I’ll use what I’ve learned in medicine to help people-to save as many lives as I can p>
Leonard patted her head, his expression full of quiet pride.
Under the dappled shade of the trees, the old man and the young girl seemed frozen in time; for that moment, it felt like eternity.

Jasper pointed at her with a grin. “You little rascal… always teasing me. Fine, fine, you win. Hurry up and fill out your application so I can finally give them an answer p>
He handed her the form, and Lillian sat down at the desk to start filling it out.

But when his eyes caught the words “School of Medicine” beneath it, his brows lifted in surprise.

Lillian nodded. “That’s right. I’ve done a lot of research in traditional medicine, but I know
