In the interest of maintaining peace and quiet, Jasmine did not hesitate to lie on the floor during Mrs. Dawson’s birthday celebration. This indicated the pressure Jasmine felt regarding marriage was quite intense.
If Mrs. Sox caught Josh visiting Jasmine, he would have no way to escape the situation.
Although Jasmine was his type, their relationship was not yet solidified; they had not reached the stage of meeting each other’s parents.
Josh only informed the head of the Bucham household about his feelings for Jasmine, keeping it a secret from the rest of his family. He feared that his older relatives would show up in droves at Jasmine’s house, potentially scaring her away.

She was aware that Serenity also ran an online business selling her crafts, having seen the well-made maneki-neko that Elisa brought home.
Elisa was very fond of the maneki-neko.

She awkwardly replied, “I bought those things, Mom. I tend to indulge in retail therapy whenever I’m feeling down. It doesn’t matter if the products are of no use to me; I just buy them all p>
“It was only after I calmed down from the shopping that I realized you’d criticize me for getting things I didn’t need. So, I gave them all to Serenity p>
Mrs. Stone shot back, “So you just dumped your stuff on Serenity like she’s a recycling center p>
Elisa stuck out her tongue.
She approached and held her mother’s arm, sweet-talking, “Now that I know Serenity might be my cousin, it’s only right for me, as the older cousin, to give her gifts. I’m not just offloading my things onto her p>
“Right. It’s all thanks to you that I might have possibly found your aunt. Only p>
Mrs. Stone trailed off mid-sentence.
She felt both hope and fear that the DNA test would reveal a blood relation with Serenity.
If they were related, it would mean her sister had been gone for fifteen years.
Mrs. Stone would have to wait until her time on earth was over to reunite with her sister in heaven.

Elisa sensed her mother’s sadness.
Clinging to her mother’s arm, Elisa comforted her, “Even though my aunt may no longer be with us, she left behind two daughters. You’ve been searching for your sister for decades. It’s a blessing that you’ve found two nieces p>
of toys.” Mrs. Stone’s heart melted at the thought of the adorable child. “How is everything going with Sonny? Have you spoken to Serenity? Please tell her to reach out if she needs our help p>
“We’ll assist her regardless of whether she’s my niece or not.” After all, Serenity was one of her beloved daughter’s closest friends. Mrs. Stone extended her love for her daughter to include her friends as well. She had always thought highly of Serenity.
“I haven’t asked Serenity yet. How could I after the scare you gave me yesterday, Mom? I believe the situation needs to be resolved. Serenity’s husband is a good man. He will always be there to help when Serenity and her sister face challenges p>

Mrs. Stone asked with concern, “Serenity got married quickly? Where is her husband from? What does he do p>
“I believe he works at York Corporation. Coincidentally, his last name is York, but Serenity mentioned that he isn’t related to the York family we know p>
There are many people with the same last name, so Mrs. Stone didn’t think much of it. She simply hummed in acknowledgment.
