Chapter 529 Zachary accepted the bag from Mr. Chaplin.
Inside were two red brocade boxes.
He took one box out. Josh, not being foolish, realized that Grandma May had retrieved this from her private treasury to delight Serenity.
He envied Zachary for having a caring grandmother who was concerned about his marriage.
Grandma May was the cornerstone of the York family and held great respect from everyone. No one would dare stop her if she decided to arrange a sudden marriage, like the one between Zachary and Serenity. Josh wished he had a grandmother like that.

He stood up and left the office with Mr. Chaplin. Zachary examined the two diamond rings that his nana had sent him and pulled out his cell phone to call her. “Nana, I’ll buy these two rings from you. How can I accept wedding rings as a gift from you?” Grandma May laughed. “Of course! Since you’re my grandson, I’ll give you a discount. Grandma May was delighted and hung up the phone happily. When someone is in a good mood, they tend to be more energetic in everything they do.

Hank intentionally postponed all social engagements for the evening and drove home alone to discuss his divorce formalities with Liberty, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Hank was worried that if he told his parents about it now, they might not be able to eat. “What’s that you’ve brought back?” Mr. Brown asked, looking at the yellow manila envelope. Hank smiled but chose not to respond.
