Liberty was about to hand the phone to her sister when Mrs. Stone said, “It’s fine. Just tell Seren to drive safely. Advise her not to tolerate any mistreatment while she’s with her in-laws. It doesn’t matter who they are; you’re my nieces, and you deserve the best p>
After discovering that her nephew-in-law was Zachary, Mrs. Stone had mixed feelings over the past few days. She mentioned it to her son, who was also aware of the situation but wanted to keep it a secret from Elisa.
Mrs. Stone preferred that her daughter not learn that Serenity was Zachary’s enigmatic wife.
Everyone was eager to uncover the identity of the York family’s mistress, unaware that she was right in front of them.
Some even had a good rapport with the Yorks’ missus.
For instance, Jasmine was deeply interested in the latest gossip about Mr. York. She was curious about who had captured his heart and even wanted to know how his wife managed to tame him. Little did she know that her best friend was indeed Mrs. York.
The Stones decided to travel for the holidays because they wanted to prevent Elisa from discovering that Serenity’s husband was Zachary.
Serenity had mentioned that she would bring her husband over for a visit to introduce him to the Stones.
From Mrs. Stone’s perspective, Serenity wouldn’t be able to bring Zachary if the family was away and returned after the holidays. By then, Zachary would be back at work, making it difficult for him to find time since his job occupied much of his schedule.
In any case, the Stones intended to keep this information from Elisa for as long as possible.
Serenity smiled and replied, “Don’t worry, Aunt Audrey. I won’t tolerate any negativity. Besides, my in-laws are genuinely kind, and I mean all of them. We get along well p>
“Zachary will be there as well. He won’t put me in an uncomfortable position p>
Mrs. Stone replied cheerfully, “I know you’re a strong woman. You won’t let anything slide. That gives me peace of mind. Although I’ve never met your in-laws, I’ve heard good things about them. They seem to be very nice people p>
Despite being from a rival family, Mrs. Stone had to admit that the Yorks were good individuals. It simply wasn’t her daughter’s fate to be part of the York family.
Thinking about Elisa’s affection for Zachary, Mrs. Stone sighed internally. Elisa was self-centered and proud, and the only man she regarded as her equal was Zachary.
However, Zachary had married Serenity. While Serenity wasn’t a poor choice, she paled in comparison to Elisa. Elisa would have been a far more fitting match for him.

God knew how Elisa would react upon discovering the truth. Perhaps she could accept it wholeheartedly if Serenity truly surpassed her in every aspect.

Mrs. Stone smiled. “That sounds great. Speaking of which, I got you and Sonny some Christmas gifts. We’re about to head out, so I’ll have the butler take care of the delivery p>
She could have sent Apple cash to the sisters, but they wouldn’t accept it. Instead, she prepared bundles of cash and instructed the butler to deliver them right before the family left. This way, the sisters wouldn’t be able to return the money since the Stones would already be gone.
The butler would also deliver expensive gifts to Serenity and Liberty.

“I don’t care how old you are; you’re still children in my eyes. If you don’t want the gifts, you can throw them away p>
