Seeing her son heading out, Olivia called after him.
“You crushed the flowers I intended to give to my wife. I’m going out to buy her a new bouquet p>
Olivia was left speechless.
Hank left without looking back, determined to buy Jessica another bouquet.
Upon his return, he found his mother crying on the couch. Disturbed, he ignored her and headed to his room with the fresh flowers.
Jessica was sitting on the bed, watching a video on her phone and laughing intermittently.
When she spotted the flowers he was holding, she set her phone aside, leapt off the bed, and approached Hank barefoot.

Unbeknownst to Hank, Jessica had overheard his earlier confrontation with Olivia from her room.
She felt delighted that her husband stood up for her.

He then revealed a Tiffany box and opened it, lifting out a gold ring. “This is for you p>
After Jessica accepted the flowers, she extended her hand for Hank to place the gold ring on her finger. With a playful tone, she said, “We need to renovate our wedding room, so let’s be budget-conscious. As for my parents… we’ll cover the costs p>
“Our wedding and family support. A simple one will suffice p>
If Hank provided her parents with family support amounting to $60,000, Jessica would receive nothing; the funds would solely benefit her two brothers. Why should they be entitled to it?
Jessica’s perspective shifted quickly.
Before marrying Hank, she had convinced him to agree to her parents’ requested amount.
Now that she was married to Hank, she felt entitled to everything that belonged to him. She could not bear the thought of giving such a substantial sum to her parents to support her brothers.
After all, she was already married to Hank, and her parents had no leverage over her anymore.
Jessica refused to assist her brothers. Now that she was married, she prioritized her own happiness. If she became financially secure, she might occasionally help her family in times of need. However, it would be unreasonable for her to deplete her finances solely to support them.
