He would never admit that he had been keeping an eye on Serenity’s movements. While he didn’t restrict her freedom, he worried that she might secretly leave Wiltspoon, so he monitored her discreetly.
Deep down, Serenity understood his intentions but chose not to confront him about it, knowing it would only lead to another argument.
