Gideon’s face flushed with fury at Calliope’s words. He lunged forward, grabbing Calliope’s chin with a grip that betrayed his frustration and resentment.

Her long hair cascaded down her back, and her features were strikingly beautiful, even in her simple attire. There was an indescribable allure about her.
Perhaps it was just his imagination, but she seemed more beautiful than before.
