Irene did not know what to do with him.
Cheryl told Teresa she had already faked the DNA test, assuring her that Michael’s true background was not revealed.

Teresa did not say anything, but a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes.
Michael bumped his forehead against Teresa’s. “I was wrong. Teresa hardly slept that night, thinking about whether to tell Jonathan about Michael when Irene suddenly contacted her, asking to meet her alone.

“Mrs. Lynn,” Teresa greeted politely as she set down her bag and took a seat. She removed her black fur coat and hung it on the chair, her sweater and boots along her loose hair adding to her elegant charm.
