“Don’t bother denying it. I’ve uncovered everything about you,” I pressed harder. “You were Alpha Foster’s

“Yes, I did it all!” Suzanna snarled, past caring about concealing her crimes. “Those two thugs were sent by me. I arranged the yacht. I hired the assassin to kill you. It was all me p>
“Now that you know, what can you do about it?” she sneered. “You were lucky to escape before, but from now on, we’ll see!
As long as you stay in Crescent Valley for even one day, I have ten thousand ways to destroy you and make sure there’s nothing left! Your precious daughter too p>
The threat against Aria made something primal and dangerous snap inside me. Before she could react, my palm connected with her cheek in a resounding slap.
“That was just a warning,” I said, my voice unnervingly calm. “Threaten my daughter again, and I’ll show you what a mother–even one without her wolf—is capable of p>
She stared at me in horror, screeching, “Sarah, you dare slap me p>
I laughed derisively. “Slapping you is the least of what you deserve p>
“For everything you’ve done, a slap is getting off lightly,” I continued, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “I’m warning you, Suzanna. I’m not someone to be trifled with. If there’s a next time, I won’t hold back. Everything I’ve suffered, I’ll return to you tenfold p>

Probably driven crazy by what I said, she lost all control and let out a wild scream: “Aaaah p>
Clawing at me, she shrieked, “Bitch! BITCH p>

Suzanna lunged at me with a screech, but I was ready. I dropped to one knee and used her momentum against her, sending her crashing to the floor.
“How does it feel?” I asked, watching her sprawled on the tile. “To kneel before someone you thought you’d destroyed p>
She scrambled to her feet, wobbling on her designer heels, and tried to claw at my face. I dodged easily, catching her arm and twisting until she cried out.
With one precise move, I swept her legs from under her, sending her back to the floor with a thud.
“Next time you want to fight,” I said as I washed my hands calmly in the sink, “take off those ridiculous heels first. Makes you look even more pathetic p>
“You bitch!” she spat, blood trickling from her split lip. “Alpha Malcolm will destroy you when he hears about this p>
“By all means, tell him,” I replied coolly, pulling out my phone.
“While you’re at it, explain this recording of you confessing to attempted murder and human trafficking. I’m sure both the police and your Alpha protector would be fascinated to hear it p>
Her face paled as she realized I’d recorded our entire confrontation.
“Stay away from me and my daughter,” I warned, slipping my phone back into my pocket.
“If anything–anything at all–happens to us, this recording goes straight to the authorities and to the Pack Council. Do we understand each other p>
I didn’t wait for her answer. I walked out, leaving her glaring at me with pure hatred from the bathroom floor.
